We never thought he’d spend 20 seasons with us. I was a teenager obsessed with basketball and wanted him to leave after we lost spreewell. Management screwed screwed him. Lost a 1st rounder for tampering to get a player that wasn’t even a star, drafted duds year after year, including drafting 2 pgs back to back picks before Steph Curry…. Then when we draft a talent we tend to mess it up badly and they leave. Starbury, lavine, laurri Markenin(probably). But they botched so many drafts over and over and never changed the guy that made the picks. I was 15 and knew Steph Curry was worth taking a risk on when you have 2 picks.

The 7 games that went into at least 1 OT accounted for an extra 50 minutes of game time, and he only lost 8 minutes due to his ejection, so he essentially played 81 full games' worth of time that season. So if the league’s average offensive rating goes up, its average defensive rating goes down by precisely the same amount. So… you can’t use these numbers to compare quality of offense or defense across eras, only the gap in quality between offense and defense WITHIN an era.
