@@andrysonss9493I can’t believe some of the guys who made it over him. They had Dave Bing and Lenny Wilkens over Dwight. I know they both were great players and the “Respect the greats” argument, but neither of them are Top 75. Bing was a playoff underachiever who never made it out of the first round except as a backup playing 7 minutes a game, and Wilkens never even made an All-NBA team.

That James Harden one doesn’t surprise me at all. Some people said, “he knows how to draw fouls.” Yeah, one of the kings of flopping no longer gets a lot of those lame ass calls he use to. His production hasn’t been the same since.
So even though that Magic team was the only one to face 3 60+ win teams, the closest outside of that is the 1995 Rockets team that was a 6th seed, and *beat* the 60 win Jazz, 59 win Suns and 62 win Spurs (with newly crowned MVP David Robinson). They then beat the 57-win Shaq/Penny Magic in the Finals. Crazy.

I think Celtics were injured and so were magic then they got a little healthier.. then played my Cavs without Hickson which was honestly our only hope for guarding Dwight, Z to slow Varejao too weak, and they still didn't have Nelson back yet.. but Mike Brown really lost that series for us putting LeBron on Alston and having Delonte West guard Turkoglu, like seriously what are you thinking? Anyways that was the year it was supposed to set up Kobe vs Lebron finals but we would have lost that too

Not really. Weak era doesn't mean there were no other good players in the time. You would get multiple 60 win teams in the 1990s. In 1998 4 teams won 60+. But the bad teams were really bad. The league expanded from 23 teams in 1988 to 29 by 1996, coinciding with 4 bad draft classes from 1988-91. With 70+ extra roster spots, mediocre players lasted 12 years instead of washing out within 4. And even the good teams had starters who wouldn't make a roster now.

It’s more the first 3-Peat. The Blazers and Suns were inconsistent teams. The Blazers got destroyed, and the Suns choked. The Lakers were the best team out of the first 3-Peat, and put up a better fight despite losing in 5. Magic did well against the Bulls, but Worthy was playing hurt.

Before, the Warriors had a near 2-decade playoff drought (except We Believe for one season). They went from that to having 4-5 all stars on one team. 😳
In the end, I really like the Warriors' history, as much as they're hated nowadays.
They really stabilized themselves around 4 players (Curry, Klay, Green and Iguodala) who were not yet great at the time, and then made them great together. Also, it's not that easy to keep everyone together on the team, even when you're winning, so I can honestly only respect them for making it this far.

There was a David Lee in college and the NBA at about the same time as there was David Lee that was a college, professional and Olympic volleyball player. They both started college the same year, they are within an inch of each other in height. The biggest difference in their careers is that volleyball Lee played through 2022 and baskteball Lee played through 2017. If only they looked the same.

Not really, you still get some extra looks because defenses are so worried about the other guy that they leave you open, so it comes out as a wash. Really, if you look at the all time threes in a season numbers, you'll realize that the real story is that Paul George's 2019 season was ridiculous.
