Just replaced my ear pads on my beats after 7 long years because even tho with infrequent use I noticed they started to crack and flake. Found replacements on Amazon for next to nothing and wasn’t sure how to go about it. Yours is the first video I saw and you made it super super easy to do! I followed every step and voila! New ear pads! Thanks so much! I saved the video in case I have to do it again down the road and forget! 😁
For anyone that tries this at first and you don't see the plastic dowels, its because theres still the whole plastic ring to be removed. I spent way longer than I should've on this and got to a point to where I felt like I may be breaking the headphones, but there's literally a whole "3rd segment" underneath Removing the second pad was much easier once I discovered what it actually felt like to remove the whole first one. Hope that made sense and helps someone that may be stuck like I was.
Life saving comment. I also thought I was breaking something but I only broke off a piece of the plastic ring with the ear cup then checked this video and saw the difference. What did it for me is the screws - they should be sticking out a little not in a hole within a plastic ring.
@@migsman222 The holes are there to help you align it correctly, otherwise, you could end up with ear pads that are incorrectly placed. So, it’s there to help the workers that put them together originally, also.
Thanks man ... Apple here in Brazil was thinking to ask me to leave my beats 500 km away (nearest apple store) for 90 days for the replacement. I ordered from Aliexpress (more easy to shop from Brazil) and just replaced and got very neat! Thanks!
Thank you sm for the vid bro, I used a knife and since it was my first time doing it my anxiety was through the roof, I got the first side off perfectly but the second one the leather ripped off and the plastic ring stayed on, I managed to get it off but did scratch underneath it, now usually id panic but since the replacement covers it up it calms me down 😅
The original adhesive on the factory earcups seem a lot stronger than the adhesive on a replacement pair. I wonder how long the new earcups will last before the adhesive starts peeling. It wouldn’t surprise me if companies made crappy adhesive and a cheap warranty plan so the customer buys the cheap warranty not knowing it’s because the company knows that warranty will be used over and over.
I removed the yellow padding in the center part for my Studios B0501 because the old white padding in the center was stuck so had to box cut them out gently ofc. Hopefully it doesn't effect the sound too much with the new pads, because it seem the new pads have a new filter on it.
This is so low that so fancy headphones are so dumb to replace the pads. This should be nice and easy process and they could make some good money on selling replaceable pads separately instead of charging £200 at Apple Store as most of the users decides to change them on their own. They basically loose customers.

Warning make sure you get left and right pads correct
Probably saved me ngl
Yes, but you can clearly see a difference between the 2 pads.
This was super helpful, brother. Thanks!

How did u do it?
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. Apple quoted me 200 UK pounds for the pad replacement. I did it for 7 UK pounds. Subscribed and liked! Legend!
Thats a crazy rip off by them! It was like 10 bucks on Amazon to do yourself. Glad you didnt pay it
Instead of using a sharp knife, you can used a flat top screwdriver. Please don’t unnecessarily cut yourself. Thank you., ER nurse

Not me thinking they clicked on and off 😂😂
My favourite thing is them not opening the alcohol cloth and properly cleaning the headset. But thank you, this was encouraging ❤️

What happens if you break off the clips?? Because I broke off my clips from my left side of my headset
I just found out you can replace these today. My pads have been falling apart for well over a year 😭

You can add some silicone. I am using high temp black silicone and it works perfect.
