On the same wavelength as you LIXxer. Been DJ'ing for 4 years and Franchiserecordpool has been MY number 1 for old school hip hop and Classic/Soulful/Vocal House and still is. I'm doing more and more mobile gigs now, so I just signed up with DigitalDjPool recently to get a lot of the top charts that FRP is slow on uploading. MyMP3Pool is next on my list later this week once all the components to my home studio are in. Great vid. Keep it up.....
Sidenote, I LOVE that DigitalDjPool has 8 cue-points built into the track. So far so good, most have been the exact ones I'd manually drop in.

Thanks for the review DJ LIXer, but I prefer *PROMO ONLY* I've been with them since 1992. Their legit (unlike some of the others), they have people you can speak with on the phone if you have a problem, and the quality of the tracks are dope. Cost more than most but worth the difference if your a pro.

Just to add to your list I am a V-DJ twice a week but i am a member to the following 3:
DJ-City - love the trends and charts plus they have tons of edits for songs. They are audio only.
BPM Supreme and BPM Latino - I use these for mostly videos but they have a great selection of audio only as well.
What I would love to find is a good West Indian site for videos. I play tons of dancehall and soca and yes I have to YT rip for video which I hate but I don't have a better option at the moment. As you can see I spend about $70 monthly for the 3 mentioned above (which I don't mind if it makes like easy).

I'm relatively new (sort of) to the DJ scene, but I am currently rockin' with PromoOnly's Pool Player and I like it. I actually used to subscribe to them 20 years ago when they would issue monthly CDs. My only critique is that unless you subscribe to one of the more expensive plans that gives you everything, you really have to know what genres you want. I'm from Chicago originally and love House, but the Dance music channel I am subscribed to does not nearly have enough House for me. But if I was more into the Pop-y EDM music, it would probably be awesome.

okay okay okay i'll stop using RUclips, but you know I didn't even know there was any such thing as a DJ pool.. i used to use LimeWire back years ago before it was closed down.. and i didn't think there was anything after that except for buying $30 CD compilations. also i took a break from DJing for many years.. great video and Subbed.

My top three DJ pools are:
    Club Killers
    DJ City
    BPM Supreme
Club Killers has straight bangers you're not going to find anywhere. 90% of my set list contained tracks from Club Killers all 2017. DJ City has a lot of fun and original remixes/House tracks that I really enjoyed listening to and grabbing, even if I never use them in a set. BPM Supreme is IMO THE BEST DJ pool you'll ever subscribe to for $20 a month. Beat Junkies is cool, especially if you like old school songs. They have a buttload of old school tracks, but I found they're sleep when it comes to grabbing mainstream Top 40 tracks. I hear a lot of professionals use DMS but they're by far the most expensive DJ pool I've ever seen. I used to subscribe to Digital DJ Pool, but they once took a month to grab a hot track DJ City had before it even became popular, so I dropped them.

DJ LiXxer! Hope you're feeling better! Shake that cold off! Thanks for your video review. Very, very informative. I play house, gospel house, house remixes, along with top 40 hip hop, r & b, and some latin and reggae. I subscribe to FranchiseRecordPool and I love it. I think it has evolved a lot since you were a subscriber because they have everything now. The site has improved so much. I get all my stuff from there, new and throwbacks. They have improved in their speed of making new ish available sooner rather than later. You can also search by artist or track or both. My only gripes are that 1) they don't have a lot of urban gospel which I'm a low key fan of 2) the search field is too specific. If you misspell the name of the artist or the track you gets no results. Also, they misspell some of their names and they don't include apostrophes in their names. Therefore if you are looking for "Don't" by Bryson Tiller, you'll gets no results. You gotta search "Dont". So you gotta just remember that when searching. Annoying. But they have a smartphone app now that you can use to listen to tracks and create a crate that you can download when you get to your computer. Currently the app is a little outdated though, so I can't use it on my iPhone at the moment (get with the program Franchise!) but when they fix that I'll be good. It used to have a 250 mb limit to how much you could store in your crate to download later. They recently bumped that up to 500 mb. Their rating system is one-click quick too. So, don't dj's might want to give them a try. I'm going to check out MP3recordpool to see what you like so much about it. Let me see if it measures up. Thanks again. One aka DJ K. Wah!.

As an existing member of Franchise, I joined MYMP3Pool and I gotta say there are some features I like and others that I have issues with. First, I like the way that song previews place continuously. This helps me sit at my desk and listen to new tracks while I do other work and if I like the track, I just go to it and add it to the download cue. I also I gotta say I like the menu choices. Franchise's is pretty limited. They seem pretty on point with that. One other thing I like is how MYMP3 has Key info listed. Franchise is missing that too. My gripe with MYMP3 is why don't they show the time/duration of the tracks? Two, MYP3Pool seems to be 1 day behind Franchise in their new releases, case in point, today is 2/15 and MYP3's new releases were added on 2/14. Francises tracks were added today, on 2/15. Duh? LOL. And finally, some R&B and Hip Hop throwbacks and other tracks couldn't be found on MYP3 but I found them on Franchise. Those are just my two cents as a user of both pools. Keep doing ya thang LiXxer! ONE!

I completely agree with you about everything you said about Franchise Record Pool. I have used Beat Junkies record pool as well. It was terrible to navigate but they had some BANGING remixes and crazy old school hip hop tracks with intros. I currently use BPMsupreme which has a great mix of everything, some dope remixes, they stay up to date with the tracks, and most importantly it’s really easy to navigate. They don’t always have the throwback tracks you want but everything else they have more than makes up for it. They also have videos and it’s only $19.99 a month and the offer backups of your tracks on dvds I believe for another $10 a month. It’s a great pool overall that covers lots of genres.

    • @DJKWAH
      @DJKWAH 6 лет назад +1

I disagree and I think Franchise is getting a bad rap. Me and other experienced DJ's I know share it and use it (we pool our money together and split the cost so it's like $66 a year for us all). It's rare that I can't find what I'm looking for and I play everything from Rock to Reggae. Throwbacks to top 50, they rarely let me down with their selection. I also like how you can find a single song in Franchise, then click the little "a" for all versions and get all the remixes, intro/outro versions, instrumentals, acapellas, you name it.

i left franchise and with late night record pool. they cost a lot though. 50.00 but when it comes to oldies! they have ALMOST EVERYTHING I TYPED IN! LNRP is definitely a dope ass site to build up your oldies and new tracks too. Some edited tracks aren't edited when they say it is though.

First off congrats on 1k subs!! Keep up the great work!! i've used a few of these over the years. DMS and Barbangerz have been my two favorites. Mymp3pool is good too but you're right the search function is very picky. I think as a mobile dj that plays both parties and weddings its important to be able to get both club style edits plus just your basic re-drums. FRP's site navigation has cleaned up probably since you've used it last. I've been a member for 2-3 years and it's improved significantly, overcoming many of the issues you brought up. Still have to rate tracks though before downloading but it takes a few seconds and is mainly just for newer stuff. Vintage, legacy, throwback, oldschool tracks are exempt.

Great info. I'm with Franchise, so far so good, it's more user friendly now, the new releases have been on point and the daily emails of charts and releases are nice to have. My only issue is with some of the older songs not being mixed that well and the volume isn't as loud as the newer songs. I am looking to change eventually. Thanks Again 💯💯

With you on the older joints not mixed well. I KNOW many of them can't be 320... Another thing I hate is that for the old school stuff, if you rate one of them, then all are rated so there is no way of me telling what I've listed to and downloaded already and I, many times, have to sit with Mac Finder open and search tracks to make sure I'm not grabbing the same ones....

i myself have used late night record pool and dj city. both are good. LNRP has a lot of old school music(mainly hip hop) but its quite expensive (about 47 dollars)

I'll rip from RUclips and SC if the pools are behind by a day or there's an independent artist production, but best believe i'll go thru and remaster the track!
FRP - Major Con, they charge you if you don't properly cancel
DJCity - is Fire, you just gotta dish out a 3 month sub payment up front
CK - is one of the best, great navigation, and great edits!
BPMSupreme - Great Organization and Great NEW tracks
VJStreet - My Go To for Videos
Digital DJPOOL - Is aight... nuff said.. you get what you pay for (some tracks arent good quality)
MyMP3Pool - Is Good if I can't find something elsewhere
Mixshow Tools - Is Great and I highly recommend for any DJ!
    P.S.
Go to Joanns and grab record wall display cases, those serato vinyl cases will look waaaay better!

In the beginning yes you need youtube. Djing can get expensive befor BPMSUPREME but if your doing constant gigs getting money then yes. You will then hear the difference from quality between youtube and youtube soundcloud rips

I agree 95%, the thing with certain genres and artists on SoundCloud is that artists and labels post free downloads allowing you to download to Wav files, which are great, but ripping "non-free" music from Soundcloud and YT should be punishable by death, no one deserves to hear that poor audio quality :P...great video by the way!

if you live in the uk you can by cds with 80s 12inch mixes on you can get them from H.M.V . or just go on ebay or amazon. some artists are re releasing there 80s albums as deluxe versions as 2Disc Or 3Disc sets. with all the remixes and b sides on discs 2 and 3 from that paticular album. or even some greatest hits cds have 12inch mixes on them as bonus tracks. you just have to look in the wright place to find them. and there are some 80s compilation albums that just have 12 inch mixes on them.

I agree and disagree at the same time. I agree because mostly everything on youtube and soundcloud is distorted. But all the record pools don't have everything. Even if you subscribed to all of them at once. I have been a dj for 15 years and I have had to go to youtube for a few different songs because none of the record pools has the song I'm looking for. A lot of 90's Chicago house they don't have. Or Chicago juke music they don't have.

Thanks for your videos. They are great! There aren't my dj videos i care to watch but i do yours. I think your advice is great about the music pools. Great if you need music from the last 6 months. As a new dj i need music from 60's-current! Where do i download music where i can find music that is that far back? I have watch plenty of videos where Dj's complain about the youtube music downloading, i get it, but where can i pay for downloads that i can cover that date range? A new mobile dj in the field has to have more than just the last 6 months of music hits. So with all the videos out there saying not to download off youtube please do tell us starting out dj's where we can legally download the top 100 hits from the 60's to current?
Keep up the great work! i look forward to more videos!

I've been DJing over 35 years and it shouldn't matter where you get your music from a long as it's a good quality and sound. remember this is a job people want to dance so it doesn't matter where you get your music from again I losses of the quality do what you got to do to get it

The reason Franchise's Song Rating System is Important is because Record Companies rely on DJ Feedback in order to make decisions, decisions that can either Make or Break a Record and or Recording Artist. So please just know that Record Pools are the Voice of the DJ and the Public who let's the Label know how a Record is doing.

Hi I just wanted to let u guys know Digital DJ Pools current subscription price is $12.99 a month and I like it, they are up to date with music and they do have clean tracks in rap if you need them, I'm going maybe experiment with Franchise to get there old hip content, question though do they keep there House music mixes on the website forever or rotate parts of there library out? and does MyMP3 and Franchise have videos?

For the price Franchise is really good but I also get a lot of good stuff on Promo Only. There's also Traxsource which I think is the best for any and every style of house (acid, deep, chillout, soulful, jungle, spiritual) but they don't have a DJ Pool option.

BPM SUPREME is pretty good for updating and having house remixes to top 40 songs too.
I'm with Promo Only, BPM Supreme and some underground pools and I still "digital crate dig too" but between Promo Only and BPM Supreme, they will have a good selection of popular house songs.
