    Thank you, Clare, for taking the time to share this. The end result was great. It's exceptionally valuable, also, to see some of the mundane things that would often be edited out of a video such as the way you premix your palette. I think I need some Cobalt Teal in my life!

    • @ClareBowenArtist
      @ClareBowenArtist  2 года назад

      You are so welcome! Thank you, yes Cobalt Blue is a gorgeous colour, and you don't need much of it because it has a strong tinting power.

    Lovely to see the fresh painting emerge. I resonate with travelling light and put paint in the small plastic pill containers - have put labels over the “ mon”, “tues” etc, but your ‘storage tube’ looks better, an6 details would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Did you know you can get heated gloves? They're very clever and if you're going to do these winter sessions in Cornwall then maybe they'd be really helpful.
    I feel like I've learned something and it's really interesting watching your process Clare, muito obrigado amiga 💛💚❤

      Thank you Nick - what a fab idea, I'm deffo going to have a look for some heated gloves, they could be the answer as finding the windy winter coasts rather chilly! Glad you found you learnt something from the video, take care :-)

      Hello thank you for watching and reading the comments 😊💫It’s a orchestra light - 2 pronged one for music one for instrument. Got it on Amazon. A while ago. Hope you can find one!

    Once again a great painting and video. I’m interested in the gloves you wear to protect you from the solvents and paints. What are they, please? I use very thin surgeon-like gloves but they are so thin that I think the products I use may be able to pass through the material and onto my skin. Yours look to be thicker and substantially more protective.

    • @ClareBowenArtist
      @ClareBowenArtist  2 года назад

      Hello Skass, the gloves are: 'Portwest Antistatic PU Fingertip Glove' I brought them from Amazon. I hope this helps! I find them excellent for protection against the paint and solvents...

    Hi Clare, nice to see you painting. I had the same feeling of happiness at 7am in the morning on an empty beach in Corfu last year :) . btw what was the brushes (from Rosmary and Co.) you have used here ? 1st I thought you used something very soft beginning with, but later on, back home from a close-up it looks the bristle is visible, so maybe it was something like Ivory synthetic ?. thanks and best of luck with your see-scapes.

      Hi Dorin, sounds like you had a lovely moment too in Cofu 💙
      The brushes are Rosemary & Co Ultimate bristle also ivory for the rigger. Any other questions happy to answer! Best wishes, Clare

    Hi Clare, just seen this video of your beach scene. Most artists, when painting scenes like this, tend to map out their composition then start with the sky and gradually work down the painting to end with the foreground. Naturally, there is no right or wrong approach. Adjustments to the colour scheme can be made when working up the painting to a satisfactory level. That said,
    It is an amazing scene.

    • @ClareBowenArtist
      @ClareBowenArtist  2 года назад +1

      Hi Paul, I tend to start with the most dominating/important aspects of the painting. It could be the sky or a focal point, I then expand from that as it helps with getting the right tonal values. Hope this helps explain :-)
