    I will say with regards to gym battling; it can still be hard to figure out how to best spread your pokemon across gyms. I've had days where I try to hold 8-10 gyms, and what winds up happening is...nothing for two/three days. No coins whatsoever; everyone stays in. Two/three days later, half of them get knocked out and I've only gained 50 coins because of the limit. It's a bit frustrating to see Pokemon after Pokemon after Pokemon after Pokemon get knocked out and returned along with "50 coin daily limit already reached".

    As a side note to the raid algorithm: I’m pretty sure that the game recommends you Pokémon based on their TDO (total damage output), which is why you occasionally see super tanky Pokémon in your recommended, because they will do more total damage than some other Pokémon in your storage. However, what you want for raids is high DPS Pokémon (damage per second) so that you can take down the raid boss as fast as possible and get more premier balls for catching the raid Pokémon/mega energy for mega raids

    A mistake to me, and my Pokémon heart is people not caring about buddies much. Not only is it sad, but they help if you bop a ball off a pokemon's noggin by making a rebound shot, saving you balls in the long run. Having multiple best buddies is helpful for CP boosts, and it's just delightful so I don't know why people don't care or ever farm for hearts. It's not like we usually need potions, revives or berries, but sometimes they help (I end up with too many potions or berries : pokeballs and need to dump them, but it can help if you've had a busy raid day, or you can just feed max berries to gym allies). The coach battles are always available, so it isn't difficult to get a lot of hearts and keep switching buddies. I sometimes am too busy to do all 20 swaps in a day, but I try and take advantage of the buddy game element.

    Oh don't throw reg potions away :(
    I always have a few mon I used in gyms or battles that aren't top hitters and I leave them at lower health and then burn potions to heal them as I get potions.
    I save max potions and max revives for raids were you really only have a handful or maybe just one Pokemon that's really going to be a super effective hitter and you need a quick healing turn around if you get KO'd during a raid.
    Having these stockpiled because I don't use them in day-to-day gaming means on legendary raid days I can really use my max healing stash without any worry about running out.

    #7 mistake....Do not delete pokemon that are good. Just because a pokemon isn't that great in GL, doesn't mean it won't be good in the halloween cup, kanto cup, etc.... I've done this many times and now when I check IVs, I'm checking all previous cups that we've had in the past. A good example: I had a rank 6 UL Kingdra. Checked PvPoke, said it was rank 200 something, discarded it and now its like rank 23 in UL. I'm kicking myself in the ass for it too cuz it walls TalonFlame.
    As for number 1 mistake, I used to do the same but I fixed that easily with a Go plus. LOL Fast catch is still better, but its boring catching everything. We can chalk it up to laziness too, IDC. LMAO

    One thing about using the recommended Pokemon a lot of the raids I fight are remote raids and when there's two or three possible five-star raid bosses and a mega going it's kind of hard to set up the right team for the raid when you come in with only 30 seconds or so left which is typical. While you can send a few teams up ahead of time you might not always have the time to heal something up before you have to hop right back in in a new raid and with the limited amount of time that some of the remote invites are giving it may not have the time for you to go in and heal while in the lobby and then swap the newly healed pokémon back in. And since a lot of the ones I do get remoted to are ones with 8 to 12 raiders it's really not that big of an issue.

    • @CountJinsulaOfficial
      @CountJinsulaOfficial  2 года назад

      Typically if you are chain Raiding, you have a ton of solid Pokémon in your collection where the recommended won't fill your team up with trash. Thus, it's kind of an edge case where using recommended is okay.

    First point is ok to say, but useless to a new player, unless they're immediately dropping money in to the game. It's not just about having the pokeballs, but you wont have space for them, so you're better off saving a good chunk of them for when you're actively going for something.

      When it comes to raids, I disagree. Sentimentality aside, it's a numbers game. You not only benefit yourself with more premiere balls with higher damage (which allows you more chances at catching the legendary), but you benefit the raid group as a whole.

In order to get a free bundle of 3 remote passes that’s still 5 days straight for just 3 raids. Not very sustainable. Also the state of the game is mostly to blame on niantics part. I’ve started heavily prioritizing lucky pokemon vs perfects. The difference between about 80% and 100% is very low, and most luckies average about 89% or 91%, where the difference between those and 100% is negligible. I’d rather spend the same amount of dust on 2 luckies rather than 1 perfect.

    Mistake #6 is only valid if you are jobless. Anyone with a job will realize it is incredibly inefficient timewise to grind for those 50 cents. Just work an extra minute or two every day or an extra hour every two months and you'll be grateful for the time you saved. Only do gym battles if you like doing battles or else you're wasting your time.
    Edit: Oh wow, and I thought 5min was too much, I hadn't heard the rest of the video. 20-30min hahaha. The real mistake is to waste 20-30min believing you're "saving money" hahahha. Wow, considering people playing Pokemon Go can afford a phone, I would assume they're paid more than 1$/h.

  • @Lyokoheros-KLPXTV
    @Lyokoheros-KLPXTV 2 года назад

    Wait, "Lucky friend"? So there is level beyond best friends?
    I always only managed to get lucky trades at random, never heard of such w thing like "lucky friends"...
    Also some of these aren't really mistake. Games are not only about extreme effectiveness end competitive part, they're mostly about fun and enjoyment. And some of these "mistake to avoid", are fully valid way of playing the game. Like keeping some pokemon because its the species You like regardless if it/s usefull or not, or just keeping them in order to trade with someone (most of my pokemon I catch I keep and trade them with my brother - and despite he plays with me from... I'm not entirely sure as I remember about half a year, and we aren't really a hardcore players, but still we got way over 70 lucky pokemons (I can't say exact number - in cases of some which are neither interesting nor relevant in battles I have usually transfer the lucky duplicates of that pokemon when I have more than 2-3 of them, currently having 68 lucky pokemons) or just to actually have all the species.
    The way "strategist" play a game and the way "adventurers" do it are equally valid, and not so little of these mistakes is only mistake if one is/wanna be a strategist.
    Also - as much as I try to get 50 coins everyday (but it doesn't always happen in my area I sometimes get knocked out after few minutes, and at other time... my pokemon can sit in gym for day. The same gym) it isn't really alleviating the problem of pay-to-win as the mechanic of how the coins are collected is simply unfair, and what You can get of it is not consistently relevant to effort put in it. (Which is one of the part of this game which imo is a sign of bad design in that regard)
    I mean it's not even this hard to figure out something better.
    Like 50 coins but only applying to that one event of knocking pokemon out instead of global (so You could get 50 coins EVERY TIME a pokemon leaves a gym ). Or 50 per day per gym. So if pokemon was in gym for 6 day - it gives you 300 coins and don't affect results from other gyms. Considering the prices in the market... it wouldn't honestly be reasonable (but would kinda solve pay-to-win issue) actually with those changes they even could slow down the rate to gain coins. Like 1 per 15, 20, 30, 40, 45 or so minutes instead of 10... well 30 would effectively make daily limit lower than 50 coind already, but as long as it would be global limit... I wouldn't mind.
    Also they could make it (if we keep the limit for single return from the gym) that a player can substitute pokemon of his weakest teammate in the gym among those which has zeroed energy and already will give a player a full amount of coins (in that case their return - especially if they would keep full health - would be actually beneficial for that player).
