In 1858, Johannes Brahms, while serving as a choir conductor in Hamburg, crossed paths with Bertha Faber, a talented female vocalist. Bertha Faber exuded grace and elegance, possessing a radiant singing voice. Brahms was deeply moved by her rendition of Viennese-style waltzes. Ten years later, in 1868, upon learning of the birth of Bertha Faber's second child, Brahms composed the enchanting piece known as "Lullaby" as a heartfelt tribute to her.
