This is honestly my favourite song by Bastille and I have such a vivid memory of seeing them at a festival in 2014. It was one of the last days of the festival and I was so exhausted after sleeping in a tent for 2-3 nights. Their set is amazing as always and then I hear them start playing the first notes of this song and I actually started crying. It was a weird mixture of happiness that I actually got to hear them sing it live but mostly just pure exhaustion from me hahah
At the end when he says "being as in love with you as I am," makes me interpret the song as being as in love with you as I am, I don't want a scrub and I deserve to be with someone better, which is why the tone of this song is so sad because it's about wanting someone who is not good for you so you're stopping yourself from being with them for your own benefit but it still hurts.

What hurts about this song is that, it makes you look back at the many times you were down or up, and the many smiles. I met these two people on the last day of a traditional festival I attended, these two were angelic people, only problem is that time moves faster than we blink, still miss that festival, despite being too fast.

The beauty of music is that everyone can see it in their own way. To me this remix is all about the quotes from the "psycho" movie. I keep thinking about this guy and his relationship with his mother, the fact that he seems alone and not adapted to society etc. Really beautiful piece of work nonetheless.

This is honestly my favourite song by Bastille and I have such a vivid memory of seeing them at a festival in 2014. It was one of the last days of the festival and I was so exhausted after sleeping in a tent for 2-3 nights. Their set is amazing as always and then I hear them start playing the first notes of this song and I actually started crying. It was a weird mixture of happiness that I actually got to hear them sing it live but mostly just pure exhaustion from me hahah
