Hey I came across some of your videos I have just subscribed I enjoyed the information you have been giving. I have a question regarding prior experience before I’m able to sit for the PMP certification. I have backround in fitness and insurance as a managers. What do you recommend the path I should start applying for project coordinator then project manager. I’m just at a standstill because idk which cert I should take. Please advise I would appreciate it

I like the confidence you project. Until now I never looked at planning with MSProject but one of your videos, “Project planning in 20min” got me started. I however realised that software is so rich that the learning process is endless.
Is it better to do the CAPM exams before settling down to master these software?
@jhaiz761, thank you for the positive words, and I'm glad you found my MS Project video helpful! The software can feel overwhelming, since it has so many features and capabilities. I believe in the 80/20 rule, where 80% of our results, come from 20% of our efforts. And, with MS Project, you can accomplish quite a bit with leveraging just a few things, as I share in the video.
For your question - I'd recommend studying for the CAPM Exam, and learning the foundations in Project Management. And that way, it'll make learning any type of PM Software much more easier to apply, since you'll have that groundwork already established. Hope that helps! When do you plan on taking your CAPM Exam?
The market even for project management is tough 5+ years experience barely getting responses and mostly ghosted.
Forced to pivot to something else now .
What's been the biggest frustration you're having with the job search process for you?
@alvinthepmofficial for me it's ghosting from recruiters and also not hearing anything back so barely landing interviews I feel frustrated because I know I have the experience so I feel forced to go for more junior level roles

Absolutely, you can get a job as a PM. If you experience any discrimination because of that, that is a company that I absolutely would NOT recommend.
