Spacing is much improved with the 3 point line being a focus now. It's just harder to play defense because there's more ground to cover! Players can attack closeouts and get to the rim easier etc.

Old school basketball is more physique and less finesse. Which means that they are less prone to injury. If you compare it to current NBA, players seems to move faster, quicker and more finesse. These modern type of play is too risky. They move too fast that it could lead to more mistakes, more turnovers and worse, injuries.

The Pistons felt single covering him with multiple defenders was the best option so he would eventually be worn down in the 4th. The reason it was so effective was because Shaq couldn't stretch the defense as he didn't move around much and clogged the middle so it was difficult for everyone else to move around and get involved in the offense.

I enjoy this brand of basketball. These refs still bullshiting, the shove off by shaq gets him a foul but you can clearly see in the replay Ben is chicken winging shaqs arm and then flops. The Pistons felt single covering him with multiple defenders was the best option so he would eventually be worn down in the 4th. The reason it was so effective was because Shaq couldn't stretch the defense as he didn't move around much and clogged the middle so it was difficult for everyone else to move around and get involved in the offense.

I enjoy this brand of basketball. These refs still bullshiting, the shove off by shaq gets him a foul but you can clearly see in the replay Ben is chicken winging shaqs arm and then flops.
