It always amazes me how inspirational creatives like you are able to come up with interesting, innovative ideas all the time, so doesn’t surprise me that you lost your mojo. I usually switch things up, play with something else if I get tired of one thing. But I imagine it’s tough to do something else when it’s your job. You’ve had a lot happening this year, hope you can find something that brings you joy and allows you to “fill your well” again. Your own self care is important.

I'd be tempted to take pictures of the daily degrading of the flowers for comparison, as part of the project or just for extra inspiration. It's a fabulous piece of work you've created there and definitely worth the effort. Thank you so much for sharing it as well as the little insights to yourself, as a prime procrastinator myself it's validating and helpful to know that I'm not alone and that anyone can lose their mojo for even a short amount of time. Thanks Lou, love your clipboard, I just finished pressing some of the flowers from my garden. I had not done anything creative all week and didn't feel like I could make anything pretty, so I sat down and finished a collage master board (mostly to get it out of the way) Ended up doing a couple of very small pages in one of my journals. Playing definitely helped me.
I’m glad you’re back to crafting because I am always inspired by your art. Would you mind sharing your opinion about re-inkers? I have several small cubes of Distress ink that are getting dry. If money isn’t an issue do you think I should buy the re-inkers or replace them with the regular size ink pads? Are the small ones harder to re-ink? Thank you
I'm fighting this loss of mojo myself right now 😔😔😔, I hate it because I have a ton of projects I need to finish but just keep putting it off. There are a lot of life problems getting in the way. I am so devastated. I ordered 9 Textures items from the sale a couple weeks ago. My order just arrived and the gesso I also ordered spilled out of the jar covering everything in the packaging envelope. Must have happened right away too because the cardboard packaging is destroyed. Wet and disintegrating, white gesso soaked into everything. I’ve been anticipating this order since I placed it. I was finally able to get a bunch of wings and things items. Now I’m just so sad and can’t even clean the stuff anymore because the cardboard just keeps coming apart.
I’m from US and had a Craftstash order, the Distress spray (prize ribbon) cracked during shipping and stained everything. I contacted their customer service and they reshipped out everything in the package, and carefully packaged all the items, even checking to verify that everything was good. Please contact them, they’ve been terrific about things like this. I took a photo of the mess, and sent it to them.
@@bethrogers5656 I took pics and sent an email yesterday after receiving the package. I am just so sad. I was looking forward to those products to “get outta my funk” and I couldn’t do anything because gesso was everywhere. The more I tried to clean up, the bigger the mess.
@@brendawalsh8254 yes, that’s so frustrating when you’re looking forward to something that you hope will brighten your mood, and it ends up being a big problem instead. Hope it gets sorted out soon.

Great techniques..I have used crystal clear embossing powder over my pressed flowers..I haven’t given them the time test yet for colors
