Beautiful, sensitive interperetation and breathtaking, masterful performance. Excellent videography and fine audio too. Already re-watched it several times. 10/10 for my taste.
Wonderful performance and wonderful execution! I think it's the best Lento performance I've ever heard, simply wonderful! Congratulations to the performers!
Wow. This is a wonderful performance of the 2nd movement. Thankyou. I think the whole String Quartet is incredible. I love the piece, but the 2nd and 3rd movements do stand out for me. Excellent music from Dvorak.
i teach the violin. when i have to teach emotions i play this song and ask them to tell me how they feel. but not by speaking, but by playing through them and expressing them. this piece makes my heart feel many emotions lol
I know it's "lento" but I don't think this piece works played this slowly. It does sound very "american", probably due largely to the minimalist vibrato.
Painfully beautiful. Excellent interpretation. I've found that some interpretations added too much vibrato, which doesn't fit this piece. This performance is done very tastefully.
what do you mean? Dvorak was Czech ... he spent time in the US ... this quartet is influenced by American (especially Black) music ... it is American and European
The cellist was superb, ethereal, transcendent!
Without doubt, best performance of this piece I had ever heard.
I agree!

Dvořák was genius! I love this piece, expecially cello solos.
I’m always thrilled to see a quartet so into the music that they’re able to create a sound just as big and emotional as a full symphony
Wonderful performance and wonderful execution!

the first violin and cello make this song spectacular, they were made to play together, it is inspiring to all those that listen to it.
I love this team and this beautiful performance
Such a beautiful movement to a lovely quartet. The 1st Violin and the cello really get into it. I can hear strains of early American "Indian" music.
Amazing music, unique in every aspect and full of feeling, and sensitivity! Lovely music! Thanks for the video!
thanks Paul!
Thanks Aneta!
Wow. This is a wonderful performance of the 2nd movement. Thankyou.

Jennifer Lee likewise!!!
In contrast to one of the previous comments, to me, the slow beginning is just perfect here. This is one of my favorite versions on here. Bravo!
Lovely! Wonderful colours, wonderful camera, wonderful musicians, wonderful music.
One of my favoirtes, love Dvorak
Brilliant rendition.
Incredible performance and interpretation!
struggente ed intenso, complimenti agli esecutori!
Dude that violin sounds amazing by itself
Well done... a fabulous piece of music ....

Sublime ....

they all look like their having spasms XD hahaha but i absolutely LOVE this piece :] they play it amazingly
Which year was this performed and recorded please? :)
Just a tad slow for me at the beginning, but beautiful playing. I liked the ebb and flow of the tempo.
"Sublimissime"

The color?
Just Blumlein miking?
on dirait du Philipp Glass !
Who came here because of the 2set string quartet video?
troppo lento e il violoncello suona troppo forte negli accompagnamenti. Per tutto il resto eccellenti.
