Great Video mate and some great points. Too many people worry about being perfect before they start. NEWS FLASH... you'll never be perfect, even if you were given $10,000 to buy gear you'd still look back 2 or 5 years later and think your first video sucked. Just start and get better and have fun!!
If I would have to start again on RUclips, I just wouldn't waste months to get recognized by couple hundred people. When I discovered I could trigger organic growth after getting first 1000 subscribers (I used a lot of Famester), my life got a lot easier and my main channel exploded. People are just looking at your numbers when searching for some content, everything else doesn't matter. If you have low number of subs, no one cares about you, even if you have the best content on platform.
I spent my first year on RUclips shooting everything AND editing everything on my iPhone. Just now stepping up with better camera + mics + editing software for year 2. I learned a lot of lessons doing it with nothing - hopefully that makes this transition easier. Great video 👍
Yessirrr! That replication piece is a big deal and tip I’m implementing. I’m only one video in but I have hundreds of logged ideas. Just need to script, film edit, release….CONSISTENTLY
I just started in 2024. I'm a month in and enjoying every bit of it. If you make content around something you are really immersed into, you can never go wrong. Dope video!
4:46 Brother, just subscribed! You’ve literally resonated up to this point in your video with everything I’ve been feeling as a “new” creator. I already look forward to watching more of your content! 🤘
If you have a dream Protect It! A lot of times we don't really have that many people judging us, we tend to doubt ourselves in our thoughts using other people's voice! The biggest obstacles are ourselves that's it. Even Tai Lopez said something recently that caught my attention. " Don't self isolate stay social." In the sense of we spontaneously make negative decisions based off of doubt of the moment. Which is the worst time to make a negative decision btw. Not feeling good enough, or not belonging is the bs mindset that holds people back from greatness on a daily basis.
Great points! I haven't done a video in months and you just reminded me that I should not give a sh... and just do what I would do anyway and film it when I feel like it.
This is some important truths man. As a new creator, it is hard to see the big dogs up there and not want that immediately...but, the grind makes it so much for fulfilling.
Great video man, I just started a channel and found the information you provided to be really helpful. I was getting a little discouraged but I am going to just keep being myself and doing what I am doing and become better with each video and slowly acquire more gear. Thanks for the helpful advice !
Thanks! How do you actually get people to click over from a short form video(on the same topic) to a long form video? From my experience the CTR is super low from a short to a long form.
My gf told me once, Im addicted to youtube, I asked "whats the difference?" You can watch netflicks shows all day, so why are you making it a point to call me out on watching youtube, its the SAME THING. Now, its literally the ONLY form of tv I watch. Ill catch a movie here and there but its way more interesting to see how someone is making it living in ... i don't know, JAPAN because they got that opportunity. Ever since I started youtube I never fixed my eyes on the numbers but it is smart to do something you love. Tech is interesting and fun but if you can't catch a deal or a company to allow you to interview their products, it can be rough.
You are one of the dopest I've seen. I never watch vlogs, as the quality is usually pretty bad, but I watch/listen to yours pretty much whenever you release them. What do you think one should do at the stage of an almost fully monetized channel on rather a peculiar kind of spirituality, but wanting to talk about productivity, creativity, and even tech. I started another one, but I don't think I can push both successfully.
Yo Big E, what would you suggest for someone like myself that has a nothing channel but would like to do reviews. Who would you suggest or do you know of any companies that give the small guy a shot?
Have fun with your passion first and everything will come together! People definitely think its a rat race, Personally for me im patient and enjoy the process and believe within due time everything will fall into place. Also quality over quantity.

A masterclass in being a creator! Thanks!

Says a bot channel with a low number of subscribers.

Pretty inspiring video, reminded me of why i started my streams with crappy gear in the first place. Might just switch from Twitch to RUclips.

You remind me of a mixture of unboxtherapy and Peter McKinnon.
New sub here! Great video! How do you feel about switching direction on a channel that has a decent amount of following ( 20k ) like my channel?
I’d love a video on how to improve as a presenter. You’ve got such a great screen presence
Needed this. Thanks!

You said it right when you said “I did this because I love it and didn’t expect to make money off it”.
Thanks for keeping it real bra! ✊🏾
