    Did you know that the Raspberry Pi Foundation even tested the Pi 5 CPU at 120°C and it was running fine at that temperature. They "only" noticed that it aged faster and break earlier. That is why they set the temp limit to 80°C, because at that temps it can run still run at full speed without ageing faster than the other electrical components on the board.

      @@kiodiekin I didn't tried it yet, but in the raspberry forum is a guy that overclocked to 2.8 GHz and !UNDER!voltaged at the same time and it is running stable.

    this is awesome! but as a noob I got no idea how to compile a retropie image, batocera image on nvme or sd card for the pi 5.. if there were a step by step tutorial on how, Id def go for it.. is there a tutorial for retropie/emu station on pi5?
    otherwise will prob wait for premade image out in the wild lol.. sure someone will have a 1tb image to flash on an nvme.. sucks cuz a lot of us got all the parts but not the knowledge to get it done lol

    • @kiodiekin
      @kiodiekin  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, there usually isn’t. It’s very tedious of peoples private custom work goes into it yet, so usually you just download a finished product

    • @kingsmm9762
      @kingsmm9762 8 месяцев назад +1

      yeah I def understand that. which is why id prob wait. hell, id pay someone to do a 1tb setup nvme for me lol. booting from sd card and storing image/backups on nvme would be ideal. hopefully soon.. and def props to those who are actively working on it. till then my pi 5 and stuff is on ice lol

    If I really just want to install Retropie on my rpi5, is that something I can do? Where it just boots up straight to Retropie/EmulationStation?

    • @kiodiekin

      u can compile it yourself.

      I’ve installed a bare-bones version of raspberry pi os on an SD card and intend to follow Retropie’s manual install directions. Think I’ll make it?

    The argument for getting a Pi5 with more than 8gb or more ram seems kind of vague. "Future developments".
