I swear I’m from Indy and I love my colts we will be very scary this year with the latu and AD draft steals and a healthy roster 🤞🏽 but I think Brendon is going to have a great career you can see how much he wants it he will be a great underdog for rookie of the year something like puka did last year

Yes he is. They are also similar in college stats & impact, combine test and size. Also, same great opportunity for him to become the #1 guy. But for him there is no true #1 on the team right now.

Cornelius demeanor is very similar to M80’s (Malcom Floyd). Just a very calm demeanor. If he has a career anywhere close to M80, that’s a hell of a career.

I've been following Cornelius since Harbaugh recruited him to Michigan. Comes from an AWESOME family. Made steady, incremental improvement from Freshman year to Senior year. Incredible blocker, smooth and steady. Smart as a whip too. Wish him nothing but success with the Chargers. Go Blue and Go Chargers!

No 7th rounder is a lock to make the team, but Johnson and Rice gives the impression of young men who will be successful in life, no matter what happens with football.
Both of these men are terrific people - CJ really impressed me with his poise and high EQ. Just a really mature, talented young guy. Hope both make the team!

These guys football IQ is off the charts. Just listening to Corn speaking about blocking and Rice speaking about work ethic and reading defenses makes me very impressed with these steals in the draft.

There's substance with these rooks that brings a level of excitement that we never got from guys like a Rountree, McKitty, Rumph type of pick. Cornelius reminds me of M80. As for Rice, I think what will make him special is his drive and hunger esp being a 7th rounder.
So stoked to hear Brenden say his dad will be there with him every step of the way. Music to my ears. Cornelius seems very smart too. Love these guys.

Biased as a Michigan fan... but CJ is such a good guy. You can hear it in the way that he speaks for himself. Like they said, he's a great blocker. He works down the field to throw blocks, not just to make catches. And he's made big time catches in big games. Hope it translates to the NFL.
Of course, he also knows what it takes to play for Jim Harbaugh. He's been in Ben Herbert's conditioning program for years. So, yes, he's a rookie, but he also can help lead the way as someone who does have trust in that system.
Respect for the family and other adults who influenced the Cornelius Johnson we see here today. Hoping for a continued smooth maturation of his skills and great success. It will be a pleasure to watch

I’ve been following the chargers since 2010 and man it’s been a min lol the only one that comes to mind was Justin Jackson
Finding hidden gems = def something TT knows nothing about. He's the type to draft guys like Rountree, McKitty, etc. over guys that teams like BAL, SF, and other contenders often find in the rough. That is why this team lacked depth for so many years.
Competitors welcome! Both possess the ability and the physicality to make their marks with the Chargers. Ladd is also top notch. and Chark to boot. Hortiz is not playing around
