It's a joy to see a dad getting his children involved in relaxing, productive hobbies!!! This is truly wiring up your kids the right way! May God bless your family!
Wonderful project with the kids Learn craft ..touch..quality & young enough to to have a world of fun and learning from dad..great stuff Dave and family..God bless
@@jamesburke868 the 12 is great to play but somehow I am not able to capture that sound via the pickups. I’ll have to try micing it somehow. The 6 string is decent but not quite as nice as the 12. I spent a lot of time on the 12 to make it play well, just need to dedicate some for the 6 :)
nice! not a criticism but you may want to check those neck plates, they should be countersunk on one side for the screws an strongly advise ditching the plastic plate (not needed. Loved seeing how you showed your son how to feel the finish ❤ Take care David. 👍✌😎
I think bolt ons get a bad name. It’s not that big of a difference, more importantly in this case since it’s a kit guitar it would make a bigger difference if I upgraded all the hardware first. Then maybe finally I could think of glueing the neck. Now you got me interested in a bolt on to set neck conversion :) thanks 👍
Hello bro i just finish the same model, i have a question i did all the set up but in the 13 strings the G string buzz against the 3er fret and the i had to setup the action a little high to solve this, did you have any problem like this? I wish to put lower attach, now is 3.5 mm in the 12 fret
Hi there. No I haven’t had that problem. I have very low action on my 12 string. Have you checked the neck bow? Maybe a bit of truss rod adjustment once you tighten the strings to pitch
@@pabloduque6723 that’s a pity, take a close look at the frets and see if they are all seated in properly . You might need to do some fret leveling then
I just wanted to say, you deserve a ton more views man, your channel is top notch. I really don’t mean to be annoying, is there any way I could get your email? I am ordering this kit but I’m doing something a bit different. I really would love to chat if you ever had the time! Either way, super cool channel
Hey thanks! If you haven’t already ordered do consider using my affiliate link in the video description, I’ve yet to see if the darn thing works lol Sure davidsmusicchannel20@gmail.com

Having your kids help was great. You’re making me want to build a double neck...and I don’t need a double neck!! 😃
azbababooey thanks! I didn’t need one either but wanted one cause it’s cool! Go for it!
I loved the bit with your kids sanding. You're a lot more relaxed than I would have been! :) Nice one.
Thanks! :) I made sure to hide all their crayons and pens , that’s more dangerous in their hands
You and your kids are awesome mate!
Thanks so much! Hope they continue their interest 🤞😀

Thanks so much for the tip Mark! Will check out the neck plates. He's very interested in my guitars so trying to teach him whatever little I know :)
The final update with the neck plates adjusted. Cheers! ruclips.net/video/B_6lROcPcGA/видео.html
Nice job Dave.....You Rock!,,,
D J thanks! :)
Hi, I was wondering where in Toronto did you get Tru Oil.
Thanks
Lee Valley is where I’d get mine a few years ago.
Thanks, that what I thought. Don’t know why it’s so hard to find here. I suppose it’s because we don’t have gun shops on every corner here in Canada.
Yeah looks awesome!
PinetopJackson thanks! I might consult you on a vintage Samick soon :)
You have a very understanding wife to let you sand in the living room!
lol! I think there’s a point when they give up 😂 luckily I’ve now got a dedicated workshop area
Why not glue the necks? I would think this is very important for true sound? IDK?
