I've had a setting appear that allowed me to change the humidity only and not the temperature. I fear I may have set it too low (1). But now the only setting is the temperature, not simply the humidity. I can't seem to get that setting to pop up anymore?
I can no longer lock the hose into place, and I keep getting a message about a fault in the heating tube. If I don't lock the hose, it seems to work anyway.
I have had one of these machines for years now and have not had any problems except that the electrical plug into the back is not very good. Several people have mentioned their machines stopping during the night but no response from ResMed. I would suspect that the plug could well be the culprit. BTW when my previous machine stopped in the night it would let out a high-pitched noise, power-cuts were common in those days.
when I went to turn the machine on to go to bed last night I got a “Climate Control enabled” message for the first time ever (I do not have and have never had climate control hoses), and then this message: “Humidifier fault, replace humidifier” No buttons or dials have any effect, and I have unplugged and replugged in the unit repeatedly but continue to get the same result.
My wife’s ResMed suddenly just stopped working last night! And will no longer come back on when hitting the start/stop button. All lights are off! Why did this happen? How can we turn the unit back on? Is there a re-set switch somewhere? Please help. Thanks!
My H5i lid is popping open and stopping the machine. It says lid is open please close lid and press any key. When I do that, it works for a second or two, then pops open again. Had machine with no problems for several years. Any suggestions?
my H5i stops 5 -6 times a nite. I have tried every thing I know.It started after it was used at my blader operation.sensor failure comes on under climate control.
Hi David, Thanks for reaching out about your H5i heated humidifier. If your clinician has enabled SmartStart your device will start automatically when you breathe into the mask and stop automatically when you remove the mask. If the device is shutting itself off while you still have your mask in place and no leak has occured, please contact your medical equipment provider for further assistance. They can inspect the device and make sure either nothing is triggering the SmartStart feature or (if it's already disabled) help determine the source of the issue. Keep in mind our manufacturer's limited warranty is listed near the back of your User Guide and your provider can help answer any questions about your warranty, should that become necessary. Thanks, ResMed Customer Care
My H5i just stops. It stops maybe 10 times a night. I will wake up and find its not pumping air. Everything is ok if I breath a couple oftimes it starts back up. Is this me are my machine?
Just recently, I've noticed that my ResMed S9 Elite would stop arbitrarily in the middle of the night, with an error, "Over voltage fault, please contact service provider". Upon further investigation, it appears that the real cause of the error is back pressure applied to the system, such as a slight cough into my mask, or simply blocking the air hose momentarily with my hand. The unit will immediately fail with the above error. Like I said this is a brand new phenomenon, and the unit has worked perfectly for years. Anyone else encounter this issue?
Hi HT, Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry to hear about the experience you're having with your S9 device. Please reach out to your medical equipment provider for further assistance with repair or replacement. I did this, and the plate only slightly heats up. I can push my fingers on it and hold them there. Is this correct?
