I have never seen dredge played at such a high level. I'm also shocked at how good Satoru was this league-- it seemed to me like a win more card rather than a true win condition. Great vid! I enjoyed every game :)
I've been really liking this series and listening to your commentary about the positioning of certain cards. I've been playing satoru dredge in paper and executing the combo is super fun. I'm still not sure what your opponent thought you were going to do with that oracle to use that trophy? Great showcase today
Manaless Dredge is an awesome archetype, but it unfortunately lost too much ground after MH2 and MH3. I’m not currently playing it, but maybe I can try it again on the channel.
Maybe it is time for 2-4 Unmask instead of Force of Will in the SB, you were talking about it in other videos ;) It plays better with LED and being proactive against the fast combos is in general a good idea. However, I also miss Daze. Maybe Daze is better than Force of Will due to low Blue count and SB mapping friction: MU where you want to be fast you remove blue cards, but want to include Force.
It’s great to have so many deckbuilding options, right? Those are good problems to think about. Unmask will definitely be tested soon in a video here on the channel. I have a preliminary list just waiting for the next set’s release.
From what im seeing so far, i think this deck doesnt want force of will. The leylines do a lot more work improving the lands matchup, I dont know what to replace it with though. The anger seems a bit more like a win more and i would like to maybe look at having a second satoru to enable those combo wins a bit more often.
Italy! On sunday I Will play a modern RCQ with dredge inspired by you! If you want I could share my choices and experience! (I play also Legacy blue dredge)
Hi! Green could be a trouble. How about... Old Good Elesh Norn to punish creatures and Iona pack? Or... Maybe 1x Creeping Fatigue or like madness Bone Shards on sideboard?
it might be too reactive/cute, but i wonder if something like even just a 1-of consign to memory in the sideboard to prevent endurance/bojuka bog blowouts + being generally decent into the format is worth considering from usa - love the content!
@@GatekeeperDatuck maybe 2 is right but i think if consign is wanted, it's probably not a 4 of in this deck, since i don't think dredge wants to be playing reactively. I know BoshNRoll talks a lot about how Pokemoki's BUG Beans deck with 1x stifle forcing difficult decisions on "what counter magic should i play around" is valuable, and considering the card answers a few of the things that make this deck lose (endurance, instant speed bojuka bog, faster combos with thassa's oracle or storm), even if countermagic is not the thing you want to be doing in dredge, the threat of being able to do it might be valuable [it might make a green player play endurance early before you have mana up; it might make storm need to take a thoughtseize line or veil of summer line; it might make breakfast/doomsday play slower], especially in situations with open deck lists. you might even find cute uses like stifling the exile ability of bridge from below lol. as i said, it might be too reactive, but as a small sideboard splash i do think it's worth thinking about at least. might be worth splitting the sideboard countermagic between daze/force/consign/the possible mindbreak trap you mention at the end of the video in some way as a related note, i think cutting "all" free countermagic from the sideboard is wrong, because i think the threat of countermagic is important to slowing down other combos and not losing turn 1, but I am not sure what sort of numbers you want for each card
What are your thoughts about Street Wraith instead of FOW against faerie macbre? Probably the most used card against graveyard strategies right now. It also works against surgical. Currenly thinking about this side where I can only see cutting 1 wraith or 1 Leyline of the void (given that we only use it against reanimator and other very residual match ups and only when we're on the draw): 4 Leyline of Sanctity 4 Leyline of the void 4 Into the flood maw 4 Street wraith
I'm not convinced about Street Wraith in the sideboard, because smart opponents will wait until we discard our hand with LED, or they might target our threats like Narcos and Poxwalkers instead of the dredgers. I do like SW in the main deck, though. Stay tuned for a new dredge build with them, coming soon!
What do you think about Griselbrand instead of Satoru? Satoru can be cast, but that seems to rarely matter; he can be pitched to FoW, but that is also not as big of a consideration in this list. Out lands aren't the painful Rainbow lands, so our life total is fine. Opposing reanimation spells are less common, so we don't have to be as worried about that anymore. Griselbrand gives us a guaranteed draw 7 and that should be enough to just finish the game.
Griselbrand seems sweet, but with so many Reanimates being played these days, it's just not safe to have it in your graveyard when you can't reanimate it immediately. Besides, decks like Delver or Eldrazi can sometimes push our life total below 8 before we have a chance to return our finisher to the battlefield.
Round 1 your opponent revealed Jegantha so you really didn't need to play around anything: He had a pregame action that said "I do not play Force of Will in my deck" haha
At the start of round 4, flashing back Gaze in response to Endurance just hurts you. You can't set up your draw because you're going to shuffle anyway, and you're removing a Gaze from your deck when it's your best topdeck.
Actually, no, take another look at Endurance's text. Your graveyard is shuffled on its own and put at the bottom of your deck. I've made that play from the video many times before, and often we end up with a good spell to leave on top.

Best intro ever❤ love this channel
It's so much fun watching you play Dredge. What do you think of Manaless Dredge? Do you play this every now and then?
Manaless Dredge is an awesome archetype, but it unfortunately lost too much ground after MH2 and MH3. I’m not currently playing it, but maybe I can try it again on the channel.

TIL Narcomoeba is a "may", and I don't have to deck myself with it if I mess up 😅
Pinned comment: Canada!
Canada, sweet! I wish to visit your country someday. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
This is such a fun journey
Thanks! I'm having a great time playing the deck. I hope it becomes more popular because it's crazy fun and competitive

@@RiccardoBaldan-dy5jr That's great! Good luck on Sunday, and feel free to share anything you want. Send me your info through X or Patreon.
Unfortunaly I have not a verifid account on X so I can't send you info. On patreon I have Just the basic account so, no direct message :(
Hi! Green could be a trouble. How about... Old Good Elesh Norn to punish creatures and Iona pack? Or... Maybe 1x Creeping Fatigue or like madness Bone Shards on sideboard?
I like Elesh Norn, but returning creatures to the battlefield isn't easy against Endurance / Bojuka Bog / Reclaimer.
it might be too reactive/cute, but i wonder if something like even just a 1-of consign to memory in the sideboard to prevent endurance/bojuka bog blowouts + being generally decent into the format is worth considering

Yeah, I think it could be 4x of each Leyline, 5x bounce, and 2x Consign.

@ElToastManz I tested 3x Consign to Memory in a single league. They weren't relevant on that league, and I moved on. I like the idea, though.
