As of right now I see videos planned to be released for Flutter from Google IO on May 14th so I hope that means they are sticking with Flutter long term. It is always upsetting to see layoffs from a company that is reporting billions in profits each quarter. The salaries will not even make a fraction of a dent. I'm sure these are very dedicated workers too that just had their lives impacted.
IDX is a web-based code editor being developed by Google, which is currently in development phase. Having been granted early access to it, I have observed that hundreds of new features tailored specifically for Flutter development are added to it on a weekly basis. so, I don't think there is any chances of dying flutter in nearby years.

it was a major layoffs for Gemini's team and with that they also cleaned Flutter's internal team. So it doesn't mean that they are stopping AI development, Gemini or Flutter. They did the same with the Bard team and they came with the Gemini. Now maybe something better can come in Flutter also.
They stopped using Skia and buid thier own rendering engine 'Impeller' to not close the Flutter that soon. Don't worry devs it's Google, they can keep running a project even if no one is using it. but in Flutter case it is currently the best Hybrid platform for Mobile Development.

Google's I/O is next Tuesday. They will clarify Flutter's future plan, but I don't think there's anything to worry about because as you said, there's a huge community behind it.
Flutter is definitely here for the long haul! With many developers expressing frustration with JavaScript for mobile and web development, the idea of building a website without the complexity of numerous JS packages is truly refreshing. Thanks to Flutter web, driven by WebAssembly, surpassing JS is becoming a reality. Google's upcoming transition from the insecure Android to Fuchsia OS, where Dart is the primary programming language, signals a significant shift. I believe in the next five years, Dart will emerge as the main language for both web and mobile development.
No technology will die, as industry still need C/C++, php developers in 2024. I think going forward Google team will give more focus on KMP/Compose Multiplatform. Main reason behind here is the Migration, I'm assuming that the Adoption of flutter by the industry is still less as Google had thought/projected before. And that's why they are now betting to KMP/Compose Multiplatform. But as it is correctly mentioned in the video that Flutter won't die in future.

I will tell you my experience, some enterprise architects will try their best to bring tech stack what they are most comfortable with. Flutter receives frequent updates, community backed and loved by many!
After moved from flutter to react native I realised that why I used much effort for simple things on flutter that gives update every two months but don't have a easy, official, effective state management.
Yes, easy but third-party state management replaces built-in stateful and stateless widgets with consumer widgets and some state management replaces build-in context which causes glitches in the application.

Well, flutter team has impacted for sure. But its nothing to worry about. “We’re sad, but still cranking hard on I/O and beyond,” wrote Google PM Kevin Moore in the Flutter development community on Reddit, where he added that Flutter and Dart weren’t affected any more or less than other teams. “We know ya’ll care SO MUCH about the project and the team and the awesome ecosystem we’ve built together. You’re nervous. I get it. We get it. You’re betting on Flutter and Dart. So am I. So is Google,” he said.
To cut the cost, it's best way to reduce the salary of CEO. It would not impact too much for google financially. Why always the working class suffers the most while management group of company keeps deciding the shitts who, not mostly in implementing the tech.😮

@@CodeXdev yes. I saw the entire video boy. However did you have take the chance to see those industry adoptions that flutter mentions ? Pick nubank for example. I love flutter too however it’s time to release it doesn’t have a future. Please, go ahead and double check the nubank example I mentioned.
Nope. Not at all. Big fan of flutter here. I learnt flutter even before of his desktop and web support. Even before Filip departure from the team. I’m a backend dev that enjoy using flutter but big enough to realize this doesn’t have a chance buddy. Grown up, learn something else.
Huge Support of the Community and Faster than react native, Flutter is Best For Hybrid Application Development
I agree
Flutter is Alive & will stay hopefully ❤️ Thanks for the explanation!

We can expect some AI based development soon, just like IDX
And of course, it will empower developer to be more productive rather than just replacing devs all together

Anything that can be written in JavaScript will eventually be written in JavaScript.❤
You really think that Dart can surpass JavaScript?😮
Google is still hosting Flutter conferences so I think it's still going strong.
Google i/o event 2024...flutter update launched. ❤
Working on video for that updates.
Thanks for the explanation. This was a big fud going on in the market.

i have one doubt a in my mind if a lots of application build in flutter why company remove flutter to react native..

Flutter and react native which is better?
Flutter is much better than react in that way
Just check the number of popular apps built by Flutter and React Native, and then you will know.
Flutter state management is one of easiest thing ever
Yes, easy but third-party state management replaces built-in stateful and stateless widgets with consumer widgets and some state management replaces build-in context which causes glitches in the application.
Flutter is amazing, If every single programmer use at least once flutter they gonna love it
Thanks for the explanation! 😀

Yes, they are bit experimental sometimes but Google is Google.
google used flutter in google pay, and you talk about privacy !!!!!!
Then we should also be worried about Python as well xD
Google rollback flutter from gpay and also licked out all flutter developers. Google realise flutter is only for design purposed 😅
