      Having written a flutter and native (android and ios) apps myself, I fully agree.
      But, I think we all are making it a little disoriented for new developers by saying 'Flutter is perfect for kickstarting projects'. People often confuse this with assuming that flutter is just suited for a POC or testing projects. But the fun part is that Flutter app scales very well beyond a POC - given the plethora of libs we have today. One really doesn't need to write a platform channel themselves.

    • @100GB
      @100GB  3 месяца назад +4

      @@rks1924 It will take its own little time. Given the Kotlin transpilation to all these languages, I believe KMP has great potential. Its yet to be seen how community accepts it and builds stuff on top of it.

    Thanks for the video, I'm your long time follower, As a native Android developer who has also worked with Flutter and is currently focused on React Native, I've found that Flutter was relatively easy to learn. It introduced me to the concept of declarative UI, which in turn made it quicker for me to pick up Compose UI and React Native UI. From my experience, there's a decreasing demand for Native Android in service-based firms, with Flutter also following suit. However, working with React Native has been exciting, as it pushed me to learn JavaScript and TypeScript, which has sparked my interest in becoming a full-stack developer. Moving forward, I plan to leverage my native skills for KMP/CMP while also building on my React full-stack expertise.

    My suggestion. If you are looking for more job openings learn react native patiently. Learning react native has advantage of learning reactjs which has good demand in web development. If you check number of people applying for react native is 100 to 200. But for flutter it is around 800 applications. So you can see the competition. Google is developing Kotlin multiplatform. So dont know how long flutter will survive.
    Bottomline: if you want to become mobile developer learn android kotlin and jetpack compose and have secondary skill as flutter or react native. If you want to become hybrid developer learn react native first. This is my opinion.

      Very good question. The answer is the same as to why I didn't include 2020, 2022. To make the video short, I took alternate years: 19, 21, 23. But interestingly, the trend remains the same even for 2024 :)

      No no. Not ignoring at all. This video does focus more on Flutter because otherwise it would have become a 1 hour video. The next video will be on React native. And the next one would be dedicated to KMP :)
      Even personally I am undecided between KMP and flutter. Flutter is very very evolved now whereas KMP transpiling (along with arguably a better language Kotlin) can unleash very interesting cross-platform coding techniques.

    FYI been a flutter developer for last 2 years. True flutter still is in growing phase. Web development still needs a lot of work, but will find a way one day. Rather than just giving up on issues and giving your opinion, try doing some R&D and find solutions to the issues. That's what we developers are being paid for.
