Nice. I really liked the thunderstorm rolling in. Never saw that vignette on a layout before. I grew up in the South, and thunderstorms rolled in every day at 4:00 PM, right on schedule.
Very nice, Always had this idea that I would get cotton and need it really well, Make clouds hanging over the layout with a thin thread in motion moving from one end of the layout and then reversing back to the beginning and then reversing again back and forth slowly over the layout.
Amazing catches of the model trains coming by and pass, I like it 5 stars, keep up the great work, my friend, I subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Nice layout Ben. It seems like you put a lot of thought into every aspect. Looks like a lot of fun to operate also. And I like your choice of music too.
Wow!!!!!! What a layout u have here!!!!! Was wondering if u have ur layout plan available for viewing??? I have room size 12 x12 with mayb extra 6x6 area. Looking for ides!!!! Thank u!!! And great video u have.
Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t, I need to put one together. I designed the benchwork and climb up to the 2nd level in CAD, but everything else has been freelance. Quick thought on the two spaces you have available would be use the 6x6 area for a helix and a double deck layout in your 12x12 area.
@Ben’s Trains Channel that would b great idea!!! Just love to c what other ppl have for ideas. It that there is so may of them. Yea that's what I was thinking bout doing. Love to get the most use out of what I have for space. Thank for getting back to me. If I have more questions I will ask u.
Thanks for watching! As long as you are having fun. Besides, it gives you something to do later when you get better and get to tear it out and do it again :)
Out of curiosity, what is the measured distance between the two levels and the height of the lower level. I really like your 3% grade with a twice around the layout. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching! There is a 20” height difference between the two decks. The bottom deck is 24” deep and the top deck is 18” deep. Having the 6” setback on the second level doesn’t make the bottom deck feel too crowded in height.
This layout is one of the best I've seen. I like how you included both a small town/shopping mall and the switch yards/industry loading areas. Question for you: Are all your locos operational? Are you able to use the switchers in a way similar to how they're actually used? Great setup Ben, it's something I can aspire to one day. Liked and subscribed, can't wait to see more of your content! Really well done man!
Thank you very much. My only locos that are not operational are the two MTH SD-70s, they have the dreaded board failures on those. I have them as free rollers now. Yes, I do switching operations somewhat prototypical to switching to a spur off a mainline. The industry switching is close to prototypical, and the yard doesn’t really lend itself to prototypical switching, but you get some fun challenges trying to make it all happen and not foul the main on the far end of the yard. I do need some more yard switchers like GP-40s since almost everything I have is road power. Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you! Three of the sides are accessible from the outside with minimal effort of taking things off to get to the track. The one side that is against the wall I can access from below and above on most spots and worst case I could take a section of the backdrop off which is why I still have visible phillips screws in some areas.
Thank you! They were both eBay finds. The Grove AT crane is $150-200. The Liebherr crane is by Kibri, you can still find these but they are getting more expensive, around $350-500 for these. But those are eBay prices lately. I am sure you can find them for less.
I would very gland and thankful if you can give me the link of companies like lionel, atlas ,etc...also i would be very thankful if you can guide me as to fro where to start making the collection.
The music should never be louder than you talking. Having to dive for the volume control to turn it down myself should never have to happen. Nice layout with many great ideas. Please learn to balance the music and talking audio levels.
The storm scene is a really cool touch! I find myself coming back to watch that over and over.
Thank you so much for watching!

Yes! You could just about set your watch to them. Thanks for watching!
Great layout tour. Outstanding weathering job on you fleet.
Thanks so much!
Great work! Looking awesome!
Thank you!
I like how you put a lot of thought into the industries served by your railroad. Thank you for sharing. Your layout looks great.
Thank you for taking the time watch, have a great day.

I like that idea. I think it’s attainable. Some of the Halloween stuff that is in the craft stores right now might lend to this as well.
Nice layout and tour!
Thank you very much!
Nice layout i love the weathering

Fantastic looking layout! The modern buildings like the Culver's and gas station really look great. Who makes them?
Thanks! Both of them are by Walthers, other than the lights that I added to the gas station, both are stock kits. Thank you for watching!
@@BensTrainsChannel thanks!
Sweet setup gave me some ideas but mine will probably still look like a toddler did it 😂
Thanks for watching! As long as you are having fun. Besides, it gives you something to do later when you get better and get to tear it out and do it again :)
Great editing, is the train sound all from the set or post?
Thank you! They are all post, from video I have shot around Florida and Georgia. Thanks for watching.
Nice layout, I liked the music at the end it had Miami vice sound to it , if possible can you tell me who that was doing the music?😊👍🏻
Thank you for checking it out. That song is by Unicorn Heads, called Digital Ghosts.
Liked and subscribed! also.

Sweet Layout man. Like how the grade is in the back. How do you get to it if there is an derailment?

@@BensTrainsChannel Thanks buddy I appreciate it
Good evening sir Bhavesh gere from India...even m a raikway enthusiast i would like to know as to where to order the stuff from?
I generally order most of my stuff from eBay, modeltrainstuff.com, and Walthers.
I would very gland and thankful if you can give me the link of companies like lionel, atlas ,etc...also i would be very thankful if you can guide me as to fro where to start making the collection.
