DIY Netatmo smart thermostat install

If you can wire a plug you can install this. It took longer to drill holes to mount it than it did to wire it in.
People seem to think that smart thermostats are complex. But all they boil down to is a switch that tells the boiler to turn on or off. All the fancy things the boiler does is controlled by a different system. The thermostat is just a switch.
I'm sure the Tado works great. But for us, the website crashed and without completing the web stuff the Tado didn't work at all and I had to wire the old thermostat back. The Netatmo works without the internet first, and then you can do all the fancy stuff. Plus it's got an override button to switch the boiler on should everything fail.

Great stuff. I got one that had never been used for £60, and replaced our old thermostat with it. Then plugged the relay into the wall socket. Boom. Simple as.

great video guys, what about controlling the temperature of showers water? I see your boiler has the know, but what about the netatmo smart thermostat and app?

for me room wall now is spoiled when you added the relay to the wall, maybe relay could be placed in non so visible area, somethere on the back on boiler or side?

Can it heat two circuits? Separately regulate the temperature for heating water in the tap and separately regulate the temperature of the heating system?

That's my friends system, I've had my own install for longer than that. Use it every day with the IFTTT integration and Google assistant. It was good enough I added the radiator valves, cctv cameras and smoke alarms.

Why don't you put a cable path between the relay and the boiler ?
