i saw her in the second movie of dolphin tale back in 2014 on a school feild trip to the movies and the during christmas 2014 we went to walmart and bought the dvd and hope is my favorite dolphin

You can not keep dolphins alone. Then why is Nicholas being kept alone and is he still in contact with other dolphins?🤔

Similar to male bottlenose dolphins in the wild, Nicholas actually does very well by himself. Nicholas cannot be placed with our female dolphins because of their size and age. Nicholas does receive plenty of attention from his Animal Care Team! As with all of our animals, we make sure they have the appropriate daily engagement, enrichment and exercise to ensure their social, emotional and physical well being.

It is actually a natural occurrence to see a male on his own rather than in a group/pod like the females of this species. That being said, we would love to see Nicholas with a companion if there is a good fit with another rescued dolphin that needs a home at CMA.

@@jennykather1858 NOAA is the federal agency that determines where stranded dolphins will go if they cannot be released and require a permanent home. It just happens that we currently have more females than males right now, but we have cared for other males in the past. Eventually, all of our resident dolphins will be closer together in a much larger dolphin habitat once our expansion is complete.
