      @818Outdoors  Год назад +1

      For indicator on your screen will not always show the direction of the transducer. There's a couple different settings for how that is displayed. I prefer having the map setting to north up which tends to be more accurate to show the direction the panoptics is pointing on the map. As far as the display in the upper right hand corner on the pan optics screen, I've never had Good luck with that.

      Anytime the cone disappears that is because the compass has become uncalibrated. Recalibrate the compass. There's a problem with that happening when you switch from perspective mode back to forward or downmode.

    Finely got a successful calibration after many failed tries or getting a message "must be in forward perspective" many times, even when the transducer is mounted in forward and forward or auto is selected in menu. After finally getting successful calibration worked great for a few days. Then suddenly the screen picture would start to swing as though it was hanging on a pendulum and the pointer extending from the boat icon would rotate quickly and constantly. Turning AHRS to off would bring back normal screen but, of course, no boat icon. Then eventually when turning AHRS back on would get a screen with multiple quarter circles radiating away from the 0 point. Checked voltage from all power, all good (new batteries). Checked all connections, all seem to be good. Please help!

Do you know if the the GPSMAP units are more real-time vs the other units garmin offers or is the minute latency the same no matter what head unit you use with livescope? I have not seen or read any info on this scenario yet and would be nice to see if you can shed some light on it. Thanks!

      The GPS map isn't exactly higher end. The 8600 specifically is the high end. The biggest difference is sonar wattage power capabilities and processing power. For just livescope there's not a big advantage over 106 or 126.
