no judgment but I'd leave the ribbon off the tea light tree board. It was perfect without the ribbon. My opinion but not trying to be rude.

Loved the sugar mold trees!! Don't pay any attention to those who commented about your bow making. You are so extremely talented in so many other areas. No one does everything perfectly.
As far as the wood project, I absolutely thought it turned out gorgeous! I'm so glad whatever caused the transfer not to stick happened. It truly looks like a vintage sign that's been around for years and years - which is what we all strive for when we love vintage things. Thanks for another great video.

I like the way the transfer turned out on the wood. Glad you didn’t do anything to the board before you put the transfer on it - makes it look even more natural.
I am with the other comments that the tree decor did not need the ribbon.

We had these boards in our kitchen and used them to make sandwiches, chop veggies, etc. We called it a drain board.

I absolutely LOVED the concept of using the tealight holder for the bottle brush trees. I didn't think the ribbon and 'bow' worked well with it though...and think some mold embellishments would have looked better. But what a great idea. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for them, now that you've given us a better vision. Your industriousness is inspiring. I love how you 'JUST DO IT'.

The big piece of wood is a cutting board that almost EVERY kitchen had as i was growing up. They pulled in and out like a drawer and were in a slot just above a set of drawers. I was born in 1959 - so definitely a 'vintage' item of the 50s and 60s, I would say!
Also, I REALLY liked that the transfer didn't "take" but yet it showed up in the different tone it left behind. I would say that it is one of the luckiest little "accidents" I've ever seen! 😆 I loved both of these projects. I am on the hunt for a tea light holder now!!

@@KMF3 They are handy! Then everyone decided wood is unsanitary...but recently I read that it has natural antibacterial properties, so it IS safe for cutting, after all. I kinda wish I had put one in my new kitchen.

THANK YOU for the glimpse of the little bit of crazy in your house currently! I recently started reselling in a once-per-month market at a local antique mall, and right now my house looks like a vintage thrift store and Hobby Lobby had a baby and it threw up in my house. I swear my husband sometimes thinks I am the only one that deals with piles of totes and empty cardboard boxes everywhere, so it is so nice when people show their messes and/or hoards! Have loved you and your channel for a while now - now I love it even more!

Julie. I really like this one. About the board that you were putting the mountain Lodge transfer on, it’s an old-fashioned cutting board. My grandmother had one of those years ago, that came to me when she and my mother died.
And I agree with you about not stripping it back to the wood. You were right, and not doing that. It would lose all the character and history of where it came from to begin with.

❤ I appreciate that you showed that just because something doesn't turn out exactly how you had planned, it can still turn out Beautiful!
For the longest time, I thought my projects were the only ones that "failed regularly." I was constantly having to do something extra that I hadn't expected to do. Literally I would think, "How do their projects ALWAYS turn out EXACTLY how they want them too 😢?!" "Is it because they are just so much MORE CREATIVE than I am 😢?!" In the very beginning, I would get so discouraged and I was so hard on myself....EXTREMELY HARD. Many times I remember just thinking, even saying, things like, "How do so many creators get it exactly right on their first try?!" Meanwhile, I'm over here, literally, CRYING 😢😭 because I can't get any of my ideas to turn out like I thought they would or as quick as I thought it would go, as simple as I had planned, etc.
I couldn't figure out why everything was so "Simple for Julie" but even when I TRY to replicate her ideas, "NOTHING EVER TURNS OUT EXACTLY LIKE JULIE'S DID😢!!"
Finally, I had a moment of clarity on a couple things...
*Like most things, Practice makes Progress and over time and with more practice, you start to anticipate little things to happen and you learn the most effective ways to "right the wrong."
*Videos give you ideas on how one person does a project but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to do it their way....even though their way is so much easier than I just made it!!!😂😂
    *Creativity is exactly that.....Create+Activity =Creativity!
Turn an IDEA💡 into a creation. Enjoy, while learning, the journey you go on making something you, or Julie 😂, thinks up. Create something from nothing more than an idea and bring it to a version of that idea, and have fun!! Mess up a few times, add more paint 🎨, add a simple bow or jute twine and keep creating!! And if you remember, take before and after pictures...that helps you to see how far you've come!
Beauty is ALL in the Eye of the Beholder!!!
Anyway, I just wanted to say, "THANK YOU JULIE" for showing how two ideas had "imperfections" but you still kept going and didn't give up. Both turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! 😍
