This is what Sims 4 should have been, lore-wise... All of that lost potential, I swear. What an amazingly in depth custom neighborhood, I'm nearly in tears.
The detail and storytelling that went into this hood is insane. The creator did their homework with the family bios and histories, and they did such a stellar job. 😊
Brandi's new bio makes so much sense to me, because in my Pleasantview, Brandi's pre-destined hobby is Arts & Crafts and I have her perfect her sewing skill so she can help the household's financial situation!
Cornelia and Agnes live with Hecuba and Menelaus the cats?! Oh my goodness, that's such a cute detail. And according to the descriptions online, Tucker the dog lives with John, Jenifer and Tiffany. I love Tucker!
The Zelda Mae and Dustin drama is HILARIOUS to me because the last time I played in Sunset Valley in Sims 3, I had them have an affair behind Iliana’s back 😬😬😂
For some reason, the Lothario-Caliente reminds me of the Sims 4 one, except it's Flamenco instead of Katrina/Nighat. Actually, it would've been closer to Sims 4 if it was Nighat instead of Flamenco. By the way, including Kaylynn's entire family from the Sims 3 is one of the best thing here. I hope they make a future Pleasantview that follows closely the Beacon bay thing from Sims 3.
Yeah it is quite similar! It also makes me feel a little strange knowing that Don, Nina and Dina were raised together in their teen years considering what they’re like as adults 😂 a future Pleasantview would be such a fun take on it too, especially if it tried to integrate some Sims 3 lore too!

After seeing your video, I downloaded the hood and I love it! It’s so good and the lore is just perfect. There are also more twists in relationships which are so fun to discover. I play with a wants-based system and still I’ve had the exact same things happen: i.e, Bella being abducted, Cornelia dying in a house fire. I had one twist which was Darren dying in a fire instead of Darleen! It’s so good. Can’t recommend it enough so thank you for the video!
Oh wow! That’s so interesting that playing wants based you still get the same outcome that the original hood had! I wonder how the Dreamer family will fare without Darren instead of Darleen, I imagine Dirk wouldn’t have as bad of a childhood because Darleen would keep things together a bit more 🤔

I've rarely played with this neighbourhood (Strangeville was my neighbourhood), but now, when I understand English and I can read all the bios and description, I love it! There is so much going on there!

Yeah I’m the description of original PV it says that the Calientes arrived on the eve of Bella’s disappearance, so personally I imagine that they would have arrived after the death of Michael rather than being here as teens. If Mortimer knew them as teenagers too it would make the whole situation a little more seedy imo 😂
I love the concept of this but I have questions. Of course everyone can have their interpretations, like the irony of Skip being a professional swimmer and then drowning in a pool, that is chef kiss. But I thought I read a thing where Skip was a Romance Sim and not a Popularity. I'm not sure how much of that was based off lore vs actual facts because I'm only going off memory. It was in a Plumbella video once and I fell down the rabbit hole lol. I think the Bella Goth and Skip Broke love affair was just conspiracy not fact but that Skip was a Romance Sim maybe was fact? I dunno. The idea of this hood does sound fun and curious how it'll play out in your game :)

Because there are two Skips in the game files, one was Popularity and one was Romance. I think the resurrect-able one in the clean hoods is Romance, but either are true to the lore. (There are similarly 2 Darleen Dreamers and 2 Michael Bachelors, with only one of each resurrect-able in clean hoods. I don’t remember their aspirations without the wiki - I think Darleen is family resurrect-able and fortune alt. Michael’s resurrect-able is Popularity.

That’s really weird, you should just just need to move the neighbourhood folder (the folder that’s 4 letters) into your neighbourhoods folder in the game files (found in your documents folder)
