I started playing guitar just a month or two ago and all of your videos have been a gift sent from heaven. No but seriously to actually see some of my favorite songs broken down in a way that I can understand and then to have the ability to slow it down and watch every finger. You are a lifesaver, keep up the good work!
Thanks man… I practiced this for like 3/hrs yesterday and today. I’m still learning effective power chords where I can mute the low-E when needed. Didn’t even know you could play a G-chord so high up on the fretboard 🤘. Got a $170 LP-special ii kit like NOV/DEC-2023 and practiced nothing but the sublime Santeria solo for months. I got decent at it and learned some decent pull off’s/hammer-on’s/bending/ and double stops. But I neglected chords all together 🤦♂️… stopped playing for like 2/months and then started playing again and my Epiphone-special ii auxiliary jack kept getting loose. I seen the new Fender Player Plus Strat with noiseless SSS pickups and the Olympic Pearl/Red tortoise pick guard and I feel like it was made for me. A little expensive but it was Devine inspiration and I bought it, along with a Yamaha THR10II. I find I practice more now and talking about it at work these two new hires heard me talking about it and said we’ll I play bass and the other says… I play drums!! Let’s jam… don’t have to tell me twice. They’re both more experienced musicians with our drummer being the most talented and musically inclined. He’s like a Puerto Rican Travis Barker… we jammed and it was AWESOME!! I had a little trouble playing standing up but now I force myself to practice that way. I learned the hard way a THRII doesn’t cut through a drummer. I’m either getting a Boss Katana MKII 50 or 100. I had to buy a laptop because I don’t have one.. got a MacBook Air M2 for portability. Not sure which Katana to get… 50 would be more portable but maybe not as loud and crisp with distortion max volume cranked… any recommendations would be greatly appreciated 🤘
@@RyanLendtracticed your video again and my transitions are getting faster and I almost got the twangy surfer riff down with the vibrato and all. For SS amps I’m not a fan either, they’re cheap and light and after going to GC and playing either an EVH 5150 or a Fender I was blown away. What’s a good tube amp for pop-punk and 90’s Grunge like Sound Garden, Sublime, Smashing Pumpkins etc? I was thinking a Marshal DSL, Orange or VOX. I want something semi-portable that can still break through a drummer and be mic’d if need be… thanks again for the video Edit: I just noticed the VOX in the background… are you playing that?
So the riff that can be played on the 2nd or 7th frets, much prefer it on the 2nd. Don't know why but I think it sounds better, slightly more twangy up by the nut.
I always have Bb on my mind 🤣 Seeing as you are firmly in Nirvana/Offspring/PowerChord territory, could you do Offspring “Gone Away (or the 5 Finger Death Punch version!)

it's important to have an instrument that inspires you to pick it up :) I'm not a fan of digital amps, I'm not the right person to ask.

Would you say that the strat came out and was played?
it was fighting with my other strat. I had to keep them separated.
Please do “Claire and Eddie” from Kings of Leon. Thanks Pal.
one day I will breach the KOL barrier. Next time, Gadget... next tiiiiiiiime

Hey I’m early! Niiceee
good morning!
LEECH - EVE6, maybe sometime? :)

Great fucking song
I think the reason nobody requested this one is because Marty music just did a tutorial on it 4 months ago
my request list goes back almost 5 years, so thats not it :)
And probably took 4x as long to teach
You seem a little excited today 😂😂😂
9 cups of coffee will do that 😉😂
@@Cocobeankf I was wondering if it was just that 😂😂😂
hahaha actually I'm out of coffee and on the irish breakfast tea instead. I was just excited to make a video :)
@@RyanLendt I enjoyed it!
