Today on the web people want to get right to the point of a video or they are gone! Paul does exactly the reverse and weaves each and every point of the story in such a fascinating web you just can't bail out. You have to know what happens no matter how long it takes!!!! However, there are many youtubers that are long winded before going to the point..and i find it annoying. Even Mr Ballen ( "horror" story )..has become unbearable for me. It's too detailed and long. I stopped watching it.
A great STORY teller. Mae in tow, she is trying hard to portray something a humble, true Filipina will NOT do. LOOK AT HER...Paul...using her as a prop? It offends most of us true educated Filipinos...🤔🙄😏
I bought a Geely Coolray as soon as I got here in early 2020.. No regrets, we love this car !

I did OK when I moved from UK to Hungary and needed a car. I went to the local GM dealer and bought a Chevrolet Spark that was just under 4 years old. It has proved to be the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned and I still have it, 11 years later. It does look pretty rough by now but is still quite solid with not too much rust

The wigo is made by Daihatsu in Indonesia, but it's still a great little car, love mine.
@@piratecovephilippines4711 Daihatsu has been around a long time. Yet I have never seen a dealership with their name own on it 🤔. But I don't get out much these days either. They seem to build a lot of engines for other companies products.

Words of wisdom Old Dog. I’m accustomed to maneuvering my Big Ol’ Harley Davidson Road King around Miami, Key West and Daytona Beach, Florida. That’s an 800 pound bike! But regardless of all my riding experience, I wouldn’t take a chance on a scooter over there.I would opt for a car.Even an old jalopy. AtLeast there’s a roof to keep you dry and away from the rain. Congratulations, Paul. It's a great looking car and Happy Anniversary! You were wise to buy the car with cash and with the timing of the exchange rate advantage. I also am a big fan of Toyota quality. I hope I can afford whatever is the equivalent of a Rav4 hybrid or a Prius if we move there. It seems like new car prices there are inflated, even from US standards(!), but the $11,545 US you paid seems like a good price. In any case, have a very happy New Year holiday and hopefully we'll see you in March or April of next year.

Another great vlog Old Dog! I can see the rationale of having a scooter initially: affordable, easy to drive/park, and a real advantage if there's traffic. However, I've heard many stories about driving in PH.....its the wild west in a lot of cases and that comes with risks. You'll definitely be safer in a car and the protection from the elements will be a blessing when there's things to do on a rainy day. Looking forward to road trip adventures in 2023. I hope you and Baby Mae had a great Christmas and cheers to you both for a happy New Year.

Excellent idea to purchase a brand new Toyota, and it has lots of features like keyless entry, Bluetooth, power windows, aircon, and it is an automatic!! Here in the USA you are lucky to find any brand new vehicle for under $27,000 US(I am talking about the cheapest one)!

Paul congratulations. A very wise decision. I have owned Toyotas since 1984 and not once did I have any mechanical issues with them. Starting with a Tercel, moved to the Camry, Avalon and we are now on our second Lexus. Best of luck to you both in the new year.
