It's not just that he mentioned the value of π (the same had been done by Greeks and the Chinese earlier) but that he used the word "approach" while describing the value of π which !asked it possible that he may have known of its irrationality.
Better pronunciation than most foreigners. It's amazing that you've narrated so many videos on so many topics with the same level of enthusiasm in your voice. The Gupta Empire was truly one of the greatest periods in civilised history... Kalidasa can justifiably be considered superior to Shakespeare and Aryabhatta is a GOAT mathematician. It was also a remarkably prosperous and peaceful era for the common man.
I think most or at least a lot of the things we have today in the United States comes from the Roman Empire. We have books, baths and the Olympics like the Romans, just a little more, just a little different. The Olympics is obviously a lot safer than way back then, but pretty similar. We normally don't share baths with each other but, again very similar.
Most elements of any Western culture can be traced back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, just as modern Chinese culture can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and Indian culture can be traced back to the Harappan period.
William Shakespeare of Sanskrit really ? Nothing against or for it but it’s a bit funny . Is ever Shakespeare mentioned as Kalidasa of English 😂😂Lovely information though. Thank you for the video.
Exactly my thoughts. Sanskrit in form and content is an immensely superior language to English, languages like Sanskrit Tamil Latin and Mandarin are on a different level from English.
This person is speaking in English to a primarily English-speaking audience who don't know anything about india. What else do you expect he would do? It's basic pedagogy that you use the familiar to explain the unfamiliar.
@@Munedawg Just don’t do that. So if it’s an English speaking audience that means every other personality from the non English world must be compared with some known English character ? So Gandhi will be Churchill of India ? History is unique for each place. Not unique like godlike or something but has a context and such analogies rob them the context and create unwanted parallels and confusions in future.
@@abhishekpandey7782 If you were speaking to Indians who weren't brought up in the English speaking world, then calling, say Constantine the Ahsoka of the Christian world would be perfectly apt.
legendary mathematician Aryabhatta had mentioned the value of pi in one of his ancient shloks, written in 455 A.D.
so what you are telling it like no ones knows it my brother we were taught about it 6 years ago
