The hook I used is a Nelsonwood Crochet Hook - wood: Brazilian Bloodwood and can be found here: www.nelsonwood...
YARN I used: Hayfield Bonus DK Extra Value shade 0659
Lion Brand Wool-Ease DK cake in Bedazzled (discontinued yarn)
Other colors used in larger sample: color B transitions to Hayfield Bonus Dk Extra Value shade 0957 & Cygnet DK shade 256 Cream
Info on the Anchored DC for mosaic crochet by the Crochet Architect: • #18 - Anchored Double ...
MY IN THE ROUND Mosaic TUTORIALS: • Mosaic Crochet In The ...
I recommend using the below hook sizes depending on yarn used:
3 DK yarn : 2.75mm to 4mm
Size 4 Medium/worsted weight: 4.5mm to 5mm.
Mixing 3 & 4 weight: 3.5mm to 4.5mm
THE YARN SIZE: I'm using size 3 yarn, any brand will work as well as any size.
Note on mixing yarn sizes 3 (DK) & Size 4 (Medium Worsted weight): THE TRICK TO MIXING YARN SIZES IS JUST KEEPING YOUR TENSION EVEN AND USING THE SMALLEST SIZE HOOK
RECOMMENDED FOR THE SMALLER YARN! You can use any yarn size you like and can use yarn that is all the same size, you do not have to mix yarn sizes.
PROJECT IDEAS:
COLOR CHANGES: If you want to swap colors out as you move up on larger projects I recommend doing so when you start the repeat rows over, change color B when repeating row 3; color A can be changed when repeating row 4, maintain the new colors through row 30.
Working FLAT, Suggested starting chains for various projects - counts include +4 at end:
Baby Blanket: 114 chains
Throw blanket : 180 chains, yarn size will affect total width and the number of repeats is up to you and will determine total length
Tote or Throw Pillow: 70 chains, make 2 and seam together or make 5 and create a cube by seaming together
Makeup or Notions bag: 48 chains, make 2 and seam together adding a zipper; or for a larger option chain 59, make 2 and seam together
Scarf: 26 to 48 chains depending on yarn size used and desired width. I recommend size 3 light weight yarn or smaller for wearables.
Table Runner: 48 to 70 chains (your starting chain is the width of the runner,, you will work the repeats until desired length is achieved)
IN THE ROUND:
Makeup or Notions bag/ Clutch: 66 or 88 chains depending on yarn and hook used
Throw Pillow: 20" to 24": chain 110 for size 4 yarn with 4.5mm hook or 132 chains with DK and 2.75mm to 3.5mm hook
Large Bag/Tote/Pillow: 132 chains for size 4 yarn, 154 chains for DK or smaller with 2.75mm hook

Is there a way to make this compatible with a baby blanket with multiples of 24? I love this and want to add it !!
I'm sure you could, take you total number of working stitches and divide them by 23 to see how many repeats you can fit evenly. Example of what I mean is let's say your baby blanket is 5 repeats of the 24 design, 24×5= 120. 120÷23 = 5.1273. You should be able to fit 5 full repeats of the 23 pattern. 5x23=115 stitches. You will have a difference of 5 stitches. One of those will be taken up as you will likely need to work the first stitch of the repeat to even out your last pattern (thats how most of mine are designed). That leaves you with 4 extra stitches still. So you would work 2 stitches in at the start of the row before you begin working the repeats on the new pattern. Then at the end of the row you will work the last 2 extra stitches. These stitches should just be a mirror of whatever is going on in the pattern so if you repeat starts with sc, work the extra stitches as sc, if dc, work them as dc.

Thank you ilove it. Will try it
I LOVE your work and I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your talent with us! I just completed a baby blanket with this pattern and I’d really like to put a boarder on it. Do you have a recommendation for a good boarder for this one? I can’t wait to finish it so I can start another one of your projects!
So sorry I missed your question!!!! Since it's a baby blanket you could do a double border, even a solid double border just to hide the ends. BUT I really like using traditional borders on my mosaics so you could handle all your ends and put any border you like on it.
Here is one border I like to use ruclips.net/video/KhRahGyv6ng/видео.html
Here is my playlist that has the enclosed border and another video on using any pattern as a border ruclips.net/p/PLU_G451k47sHKk03bYvCWpRbkSbDz2oSe
Hope this helps! 😘😘😘💙
And thank you so much 💓 💗 💖 💛
Beautiful! Now I have another pattern I have to try😃
This pattern is lovely 😊
Thank you 😁
Hi I’m Linda (using husband’s site) I’m very new at this, and not sure but looks like you use back stitch and I’m not sure why at the end of the row you are crocheting 2 chains? Thanks for helping me. Your mosaic blanket is gorgeous.
Yes all SC's worked in the repeat are worked back loop only. At the end of the row I bind off with 2 chains and sinch down to form a knot. I have a short video showing the bind off if you want to see exactly how I bind off. Hope this helps and thank you!! ruclips.net/video/rip2VOqA8YA/видео.html
Your work is wonderful !!...... have you been to Tina Thorudottir Thorvaldar channel ..... her projects are absolutely gorgeous !!
Gracias por compartir. Me encanta
Love this pattern! I am doing a baby blanket so I started with your recommendation of 114 in my starting chain. This gets me 4 complete sets of the 8, 5 & 7. However, when I get to the end, I’m getting another complete 8 and then 5, but I end up with only 5 stitches left. I’ve started over twice now & I keep getting the same thing where I don’t get a full 8 count at the end with 2 remaining stitches like in your tutorial. Not sure what I’m doing wrong??
Hi!! And thank you so much! What row are you on? row 3 repeat is 8sc 1dc 5sc 1dc 7sc. You should have 5 repeats of the pattern with this chain count that you are using, the repeat is made up of 22 stitches so typically when someone is off and their chain count is correct the issue is usually not having the repeat correct. I'm thinking you are missing 2 stitches of the repeat. I know I have an issue further in the video o believe with stitch instruction popping up on the video in the wrong spot. So if you followed that it's definitely wrong (so sorry!) Hopefully this is helping but if not please let me know if you are still struggling, I definitely want to help!
Thanks so much for your response! I started with a chain of 114, and I did a SC in each stitch across for the first 2 rows which gets me 113 SC. When I get to row 3, that’s where I begin to have the issue. If I do a 8 SC, 1 DC, 5 SC, 1 DC, 7 SC, should I do another DC after the 7 sc before I start the next set of 8 SC? Maybe that’s where I’m messing up?
That’s what I did! What a dummy I can be! I kept doing another DC after I did the 7 SC!
@@koji3590 so you got it now that you figured out where you were going wrong!! Just saw this reply, sorry for delay but if you need anything else just let me know!! I seriously catch myself doing this too so for real it can happen to anyone!!!

You are awesome 💞
Thank you you are too sweet!
Fantastic

Courtney, have you ever used a bulky type yarn along with a 4 ply in your mosaic patterns? I have a bunch of Premier puzzle yarn I’ve been dying to use 🥴
Hi Sandra, I haven't done bulky with a 4 before but I say go for it! You already have the yarn and anything you do will go by pretty quick. I would try to use a 5mm hook if you can. 5.5mm if you crochet tight. Hope to sew pics of whatever you make!
Hello I have following your tutorials. I would like to join some of them together But they have different sizes some 22 chains + 4 some 14+3 How would I join them
Which yarn to be used for crocheting floor rug/carpet
It's really up to you but I personally use cotton on bathroom rugs and acrylic on decorative rugs. Hope this helps! 💙🦊
I’m on row 30 doing the 8 singles. I checked row 29 and and all the stitches are there, but I’m short 1 stitch doing the 8 singles. HELP please. Sorry, I found it.😊😊😊
How do we see the link down below, I can’t see anything. I have watched this and love it. Will be making a blanket

Hello, where i can buy that crochet needle? tyvm
I link the hooks I use in the video down in the description box 💙🦊
New to this. Wondering why one end is 8 and one end is 7?? Thank you.
Your working a set of 22 stitches down your row so it just happened that this pattern has 8 at the start but 7 at the end. When you keep repeating you'll see that they work off of each other to create an even design. I've got some videos about mosaic crochet charts that might help you sort of visualize it better. ruclips.net/p/PLU_G451k47sHjvq5C4GHn7PJ-ocTRKVuW
I hope this helps but if not let me know if you still have questions!
Do your paid patterns come in chart, written out, or both?
Chart only for most of them. Some do have written row repeats and the description on etsy will say charts only or if there is written row repeats its specified in the description on there.
@@FiberFoxStudios thank you for the quick reply
@@calmingwaters1981 you are very welcome!
Do you have any written patterns ?
No just charts at this time.
@@FiberFoxStudios is there a way that I can get any of them?
@@dennishight7565 yes sorry I have an etsy shop, it's in the description on all my tutorials. Also look out next week for a post on the community tab for a chance to win charts. 😘
super! )
