Its a shame they just axed all the di marcos bar beppe at once. They really didn’t give them enough time that no one really remembers them.

John Yorke axed them and created the slaters in 2000

Even those who stayed like the slaters end up having boring storyline. It's hit and miss

Di marcos were right in the mix for a few years beppe vs grant and gianni was in and around the steve owen matthew storyline and with crazy jackie. They were good for a laugh too. Constantly hassling teresa over bf choices and falling out with rosa.

1999 was the last good year for me. Never did like John Yorke's style, he axed the di Marcos and bought in the awful Slaters and turned Phil nastier than he ever had been before.

I liked the di Marcos. I wonder why they were never accepted by the public.

Cakes they never really got enough screentime or development. Would have been nice to have then leave individually and maybe they would still have a link to the show today.

I agree, the Slater's are just plain dumb and pathetic! I stopped watching because of them.

@@--Fish i don’t mind them. Although quite a few weak ones.
Mo - Awful Character, Horrendous Actress and needs killing off ASAP
      Charlie - Boring
Kat - Great when given good material
      Lynne - Ok. Needs recasting
      Belinda - Fantastic
Zoe - Fantastic and needs recasting now as her absence has been felt in quite a few storylines.
Little Mo - Great. Could do with a return.
      Gary - Decent
      Then Jean/Stacey/Sean are all fantastic
Kyle was underused and underdeveloped. Could do with a return to flesh him out.
Alison - was a guest character but ok
      Hayley - Horrendous
      Bev - Awful Human being.

I'm sorry but nobody will agree with you on that, the soap needed a shake up going into the new millennium, the di marcos had to go and there had to be a new family to bring some quality drama to the show, and the slaters were the family. So unfortunately your point is wrong.
