Thank you for posting these, I've only listened for the last 5 years so these have given such an insight into the characters past for me. Poor John

You're more than welcome. I've not been a listener for much longer than you have, and I completely agree about the insight these episodes give. It's also really great to hear the original voices of Tony and Tom, as by the time I started listening both Colin Skipp and Tom Graham had left the program.
I'll be uploading more classic episodes in the near future. Thanks for watching. :)

Wow! Thank you so much for posting these. I was a teenager away at boarding School in the Midlands not so far from where the Archers is recorded in various locations around Birmingham and Worcestershire. I would love you or anybody else to upload a lot more 90s episodes if they have them. I taped a few, but over the years, the tapes wore out or chewed up or broke from far too much replaying. I numbered around 60 tapes of recordings, maybe a couple more than that. I just wish I had more permanent failsafe media storage options at the time, especially CD or mini disk. Ah well. I enjoy the episodes from 2007 onward here on RUclips. They're keeping me going.

thanks for posting this! i've only started listening to the Archers during the pandemic, so it's very interesting to hear the omnibuses (omnibi?) that you've uploaded. do you have anymore from the 90s by any chance? it doesn't feel like a different show, but it does feel a little weird!

      You're very welcome! :)
I do have quite a few more episodes from the 90s, and some from the 80s too.
I need to stop procrastinating and start a organised upload schedule.
I'm going to try my best to get another omnibus up by the end of next week.

@@laurendownie2710 don't push yourself! i imagine there's quite a lot of effort converting something that's taped into something that's digital. also, just in case the BBC gets a bit copyright happy, you can upload onto the Internet Archive as well! this would be the sort of thing they'd be interested in, as they're always looking for lost or rare media 😊

hi lauren. this is an interesting upload indeed. this was never a series that i watched everyweek or everyday just left myself listening to it if i tuned around my old fm radio set and just happened to be on at the time so not well enough to know all the characters fully but i do remember this storyline. though only catching people talking about it weeks later rather than hearing the actual episode until now and i remembered wondering how they could construct such an accident with it being a radio drama rather than a tv one. makes sense now how they did it with him just being found crushed under the tractor after tony went looking for him.
