cool video, thanks for taking the time to share!, I think you were getting uneven results because your platen was not level. You can adjust the heat platen using the 4 screws.

Nice review! Your samples look great. Would love to see a follow-up one year on. Would you recommend it? How has it held up? Do you use it as much as you thought? Have you had other dies made for it? Are there any tips you’ve learned that you could pass along? Would be good to see see how the die is installed.

Can you give any temperature settings for different materials?

I used to fight a square plate and fat flatwire springs often as a press operator. You can't trust them to stay right, they take some experience and vigilance to maintain, also lots of spares.

Can this use to stamp on shoes

Not much can go wrong with them it's a heating element and a thermostat regulator. The rest is mechanical. I ordered a model but it doesn't have the digital readout and does have a thermostat reading. I want to possibly make my own dies. But I've been searching online for antique and bossing dies for hot stamping and can't find anything. Anyone know where I might find antique embossing dies? Thx

With the foil 130°C is too much. At least with mine that's similar. I use about 100°C with tapes.

That’s good to know! Unfortunately some equipment and different brands of tape act different. Thank you for sharing.

@@ashleighdeck3429 so I got it working, basically, place thick card under and set the temp to below 100 like 95ish and each press hold down for 1 2 sec release 1 2 sec 2nd press and then lift and it comes out perfect :) hope yours comes out well too!

How is this working? I have the same machine and I see that your springs are already mentioned more than mine. I press mine down hard and still can’t get a good imprint.

I’ve since sold the press since I don’t make leather goods. I did have to use a lot of pressure to get a good impression.
