Just wrote this today.. its a mouthful to get it all in.
It's heaps fun to play, really gets everything going for me.
Merry Go Round
I guess its a reflection song.
Don't go chasing shadows on a merry go round.
They're just gonna leave you more lost then found.
They tell you stay away from what you can't see.
But you're going to go in cos you want to believe.

Wishing you'd never listened to those birds and the bees.
Now you're in a muddy puddle, brain down a hole.
You know you should have listened to what you got told.
But you got here by yourself, and you'll fix it yourself.
No matter what they say, you'll find a way to pass the blame.
So you keep on chasing shadows on a merry go round.
Why worry about the truth when it only brings you down.
Its easier on your health to keep lying to yourself.
No matter what they say your head will find a way.
They said in 1981 that the world would become dumb.
That in only 20 years, people would be crazy and numb.
Its seems it all might be true, especially in you.
You clearly have no feelings left,
you do not have a clue.
You don't know how you got here and you don't know what to say.
Better to keep lying, so people turn away.
Trapped in a empty shell living day by day.
Can't escape that prison cell, you like it that way.
So you keep on chasing shadows on a merry go round.
Lost in your shadow, hoping to be found.
Then you throw it all away, when you get bored with what they say.
Living your numb existence, happier that way.
