- So you just started playing NIKKE, and you want to know what a beginner should do to optimize your time playing and getting the most out of this game. Today, in this beginner guide for NIKKE, I'm going to be explaining all the basic mechanics in the game, as well as doing a quick rundown on how to progress efficiently in the early game.

Best mechanic (or lack thereof) of this game imo is the lack of stamina, it pisses me off to no end that mobile games gatekeep you not because of your lack of skill and preparation, but because it says so, they are not confident in its content to keep you engaged, so they limit your daily progress. Nikke's roadblocks motivates me to study the game and do my dailies to get more resources.
Fr. Besides the limited daily attempts for a few things, I like that o cns just go through thr story without using some kind of “stamina”
They limit your daily progress WHILE also creating an actual full on less-rng influenced, p2w mechanic cause buying more stamina allows you to grind more and ahead of everybody else
Meanwhile at least in nikke the everybody has the same amount of daily attempts and facing the same rng in special interception
yeah this why i stopped playing idle of angels,
I mean combat rating during the story is basically stamina. You eventually get to a point where you have to wait to get the mats to level characters.
VERY IMPORTANT INFO FOR SIMULATION: you dont have to do say 1 a b c 2 a b c 3 a b c, you can straight up go to 3c, clear it and youll get the rewards from that stage AND all the rewards from all the previous stages. Saves loads of time and helps avoid burnout from the game. Knowing this may very well determine whether you stick to the game for long or not.

Completing every stage in simulation was one of things which was making me hate that game even if it's good (especially for a gacha)

wtf that’s insane I had no idea…
That was a big reason I wasn’t doing simulation it seemed too laborious so I just stuck with spamming tribe tower as it let me bet like 3000 gems in just two days.
The Synchro Device is one of my favorite mechanics in any gacha game. Being able to bring up any new unit you get up to level without having to spend literal days grinding items is insanely good. You still have to grind mats for skill upgrades but removing the level grind is a huge plus.
Thanks a lot. Many those "beginner guides" are always full of jargon and term that are super confusing for absolute beginners like me. I simply don't have free time nor patience to search for every term as if I'm back to school. This video definitely gave me a decend baseline and I'll surelly watch your other videos as well. The infrastructure core levels up when you complete the challenges on the mission tab e.g. Clear Chapter xx, hard xx, etc.

I started playing during dororthy's event, i had no idea what that extra button was below the campaign button and since i was only a few hours in i didnt press it, come to find out that a few days later the whole thing was gone. Check online and everyone was saying how good the drop characters and event shit was, bit bummed but i was mostly playing because of the nier collab announce. Now with that event over i am still play, its a decent game that i need to really dig into and figure out so i know wtf im doing wrong and right, appreciate this video and series to help make sure im on the right track.
@Pseychie_NIKKE I know it has been a month since you posted this but I figured I'd explain how you level up the Infrastructure Core since it doesn't seem like anyone commented about it from what I saw. To level it up you just need to complete the various Challenges on the Challenge tab of the Missions menu. There are currently a total of 20 stages and you can see the benefits for each stage by clicking on the "Chip Info" button and then using the arrows to the sides of the menu to change the stage you are looking at.
wow - your complete commander bootcamp is a very good stuff ! It made it easier for me to get started with the game and it is so much better than "the worst gacha game ever" !!!
14:28 if you ever wanna leave an interception battle but don't want to consume attempts (for changing your team), press X to close the game or use task manager to close the game if you play in fullscreen
I recently downloaded Nikke. After watching this I'm almost afraid to try playing it.. Wish me luck. Subscribed. I'm gonna need all the help I can get. 🙂

Something interesting is that the game does auto convert unused event currency into credits which is nice if you did forget to claim it.
Yeah except for the fact that you want anything else in that shop besides credits.

I started last sunday, phew there's a lot of stuff(go figure :D ), and i didn't take advantage of rerolling and now it feels a bit "late" to redo everything. I did get Brid, which worked well with Rapi to give early game double III. Eh, minor things! I also got one of the bunny girls in my first 60 tickets, so, the hunt is on for second half XD
The "reset leveled character" is a lifesaver info though, i was thinking that i should level 5 ssr first, and sync the rest, and this'll help as i have some SR that i don't use as much.
I just started playing yesterday, and this is by far the best beginner video I'm come across. The other ones say they are for beginners, but end up using terminology that a beginner won't be familiar with. Is there any way for a new player to obtain characters from past events like 2B?

I play not as long as you( I installed it prabobly 0,5 year after release) But HOLY COW. I see big difference between your NIKKES who are dealing so much damage, and mine that deals slightly above 1,5M damage😮(I'm on the 14th chapter in the campaign). How did you get so strong? (Skipping the fact that I can't buy anything that costs real money)

Jst to add. Do atleast 1 battle in PvP arena for the season since you get currency to buy skill manuals, and in special pvp u can get gems.
If u dont attack then u will be taken out of the pvp pool and could potentially lose on some rewards.

I have a question for the veterans of this game. I've been surfing around all the guide videos and I'm still left with this one question...
Are Nikke's slot positioning important in campain mode? For example, does placing a Nikke in the center aggro more enemies than the one's in the corner?

the position doesn't matter in the campaign. If you are using auto play, their positions will determine whose skills are used first.
Depends on what you were trying to achieve. Positions matters if you use auto play instead of manual.
To answer your question regarding aggro. Yes and No. Yes because some Raptures or Bosses attacks certain positions example is Chatterbox its initial attack always hit the 3rd Position / Middle position. For the No some Mobs/Boss targets Highest Attack/HP etc.. So to them position doesn't matter. If you're not sure which is which try to search online for some Mobs or Boss mechanics

Leveling is OK if you get dupes and I emphasis the word if

Also try hard for special PvP. As an f2p myself i try to atleast rank between 20-30 so i can secure 2000 gems every 2 weeks.
Newer players should atleast try for lowest gems reward tiers
Meta is nothing except what a random stranger in the huge playerbase called "community" is extremely good at playing.
Remember, don't follow any tierlist made by those "community" or any RUclipsr. If you're really good at playing Neon, then Neon is Meta, if you're really good at playing Rapi then Rapi is Meta, if you're really good at playing Delta then Delta is Meta.
Meta characters aren't some naturally born greatest characters. Some guy played with a character and used whatever gears and upgrade he liked and not by watching some tierlist in internet. He saw that's dealing really excellent damage, giving really good heals etc, so he shared it on internet. Later everyone copied it and that's how Meta was born. Just like everything else, Meta also has a point from where it starts. So just focus on characters that you play really good. Not what some random tierlist on internet mentions. Also the worst thing about Meta is you don't know when your Meta character becomes obsolete.
There was a time when Scarlet: Black Shadow was Meta but today no one is even saying her name. But I still play Scarlet: Black Shadow. Is Moran a Meta character? Elegg, Drake, Snow White (there was a time when she was also a Meta but today, no one even talks about her too), are they Meta? But that's the squad I play with. They played so great that I can clear story campaign faster now. Play what you're good at or what you like. Don't try to be someone else or use someone else's idea or things.
There is nothing wrong if you invested your everything upon Sakura and not Dorothy (as the so-called "community" says it's extremely powerful Meta character). It's not like only Dorothy can deal extremely high dmg, clear raids or PvP very easily, clear entire story campaign like in a week or less. Sakura can also do the exact same things. It doesn't matter at all if Dorothy deals 14958 dmg but Sakura deals 14950 or a bit less. That doesn't make Sakura a weak character. But the so-called "community" will call Dorothy as Meta just because of that 14958 dmg and give no importance to Sakura.
