I have near to no immune system and it can get hard enough that I get sick at the drop if the hat. I'm one of the unlucky ones that herd immunity is supposed to help protect. I wish I could show one of these folks what I see.

The US outbreak is bad, but in New Zealand, they've got a similar number of cases in Auckland alone - and that's a city of ~1.6 million. ~1800 cases across the entire county, with a total population of ~4.5 million. At least we're lucky that noone has died so far.

I have Autism, the fact people think giving their kids Measles is better than having Autism makes me extremely sad and proves how misunderstood we are by NTs.

Having measles for two weeks is better than a lifetime of autism. Those normal childhood diseases that are not deadly and actually strengthen your immunity as an adult.

@@Upliftandinspire Measles can be deadly though. Most of the time if people die from Measles they die via opportunistic infections that invade when your immune system is weakened by the Measles virus. The Measles virus also has a small chance to cross the blood brain barrier and damage the brain, if this happens you have a 30% chance of DYING and 99% chance of long term brain damage. Yes Autism is life long but even IF vaccines have a small chance of causing Autism (they don't) that still better than potentially dying from Measles considering over 50% of the time Autism ends up being the high functioning kind which is what I have. Yes I don't have many friends and I have social anxiety but I can drive, go to school, and work like a your average NT

@@Upliftandinspire People can *die* from measles. It isn't just "sick for a week or two." Measles wipes out your immune system's memory, too. So congrats, you made yourself and/or your kids more likely to die from *every* contagious disease.

Adam Smith The heavy metals in vaccines also cross the blood brain barrier which causes autism and other neurological deficiencies vaccines leave you immuno compromised not the other way around
