Cool of you to put some spotlight on proving ground. This game has the best animations among skateboarding games. Sound design and ragdoll physics are great too and the classic mode is the best out of non-pros skater games.
Something refreshing would be a vertramp skateboarding sim. Where you can do flip grab combos without catching the board before the grab... and other things that are focused on vert riding and not possible in all current skateboarding games.

I used to played the demo all everyday and played it for three years before I bought the full game cuz when I was a kid I never got money. I played this game allllllll the time only thing I played to be honest. I played it so much I had dreams about it and always thought about playing it. Made me buy my first board and made me see things differently I stopped skateboarding tho after my first fall but bought a board agin last year and started getting my balance and I been trying to do manuals and a young guy around my age who was skating downtown in my city of Erie Pennsylvania taught me how to Ollie and I did it over a messed up sidewalk that was on a incline vs the other parts of the sidewalk and I fell off my board weird and my ankle popped and went numb for like 45 seconds lol then I had to rest for a while but I started riding my board again. I just wish the sidewalk were smoother I could probably learn easier lol anyway first time watching one of your videos you seem really cool bro keep up the good work.

one thing these arcade style skate games always do is capture the feeling of skating. Hell even skate 2 did a good job of it. I wanna feel like im skating through the city or whatever, not some generated sandbox map
I just wish I could play online in thps1 and 2 remastered with my friend. For some reason it keeps saying that the session has ended even though one of us is still in our sessions when we invite each other
the stick controls is what keeps me from playing session & xl. thpg had the perfect mixture of arcade & realism. btw who do i need to pay to get a 60 fps patch/bc on next gen???

I have to say, microsoft definitely made it a whole lot easier making video clips with that format, and id say thats better. Its too bad easyday wont use a similar format. I liked all of the games tony hawk produced. But my favorites were on gameboy. I had american skateland, thug 2 and proskater 4. I just found a gameboy advance at u-haul, works amazingly, im thinking of getting all the gameboy tony hawk games i had to take a walk down memory lane. I played them all the time❤️

"Tony Hawk's Proving Ground" is a great and underrated game. The soundtrack is incredible.
The whole line at 2:54 was super realistic even to the fall
If we're being honest here .... this aged SUPER well and I think it really is more realistc in more ways than its not
