In this video, you will find the key difference between SPC and MSA
SPC (Statistical Process Control) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) are 2 key pillars for a manufacturing process to ensure process control so that desired quality of product and services can be achieved. Although both are statistical tools still, they have their distinct purposes which are generally not clearly understood like at times we apply the same principles of SPC study (mean and range chart-all points within control limits) for MSA study too!
By understanding the key difference between SPC and MSA study, we can effectively implement them and can take desired benefits.

01.We use 2nd edition of SPC or 2nd Edition of AIAG for SPC. same for MSA - 4th edition of MSA or 4th edition of AIAG For MSA .
Please Share for clarification.

Dear Ankit, Thanks for your query. To understand the sequence logically you need to go through the APQP manual. PPAP contains all the documents like Control plan. For doing SPC study as per the requirement of control plan, MSA study is conducted for the measuring instrument which is used for SPC study

In MSA, Mean chart, if more than 50% of the points are out of control limits, it means that our measurements system is capable of reading the variation in the process. For more, please read MSA manual

In msa we collect sample on whole specifications . Which show the variation in collecting sample instead of process. It helps to understand how much our measurement system is capable to detect the variation.
