You are right about this, but remember this is an event that is ending in a week or so I think so just know that after that, the only way is heating the crystals.

Seems there is a bit of central market shortage on the (rough) opal at the moment, will probably have to go get it manually.
I’ve been doing that since I discovered I can get the magical shard using this method I only get around 4 magical shard per day it’s a great method for people who don’t want to grind in the Valencia area I guess.
You can trade alchemy seals for magical shards if you can give up your cooking money for a while. Its not a lot but it helps if you are having trouble getting them otherwise.
And there I was selling off these crystal's as I used them in my armour and thought what am I suppose to do with these other crystal's? And here it is, this game does not help noob players at all in this game. Thanks for the video

But from the start, you're running around like a headless chicken if these videos weren't around. Though I have given up on the game, as trying to get to 61 from 60 in a normal server it's as boring as hell on your own.

That's ture, but leveling TET to C20 with Caphras, to upgrade it to PEN doesn't make any sense. You would need 11k Caphras, and at that point it's cheaper to just buy PEN from MP. Cost for PEN armor from jetina: 1st=9,5b, 2nd=10,5b, 3rd=12,5b, 4th=15,5b. Weapon cost: 1st=7b, 2nd=9b, 3rd=11,5b I think it worth to go for 2 armor and 2 weapon parts from jetina ... it's cheaper than buying from MP. One could argue that you can't sell it later on MP, but why would you want to sell armor? You can just push it to C10 and make fallen god. That one you can then sell on MP.
Not necessarily true for all gear . My Bheg's gloves at Reform Level 4 was 1 DP lower and 2 accuracy lower. At Reform Level 5 it was still lower in accuracy. Additionally, the stat bonuses (monster damage, damage reductions, etc.) are also lower.
One thing I really don't like is the inconsistency of item colors to their rarity. Magical Shard is a white item yet it comes from a yellow item. This makes no sense. New players might discard white items which they receive as rewards thinking they are common items that can easily be replaced. I deleted 3 magical shards like that.
Also, you can get memory fragments by exchanging WORLD boss auras 1:1 after you have exchanged once for a weapon box. You don't need that many auras for weeklies for the crystals, so if you frequently boss hunt, you can stack up quite some memory fragments in a week just from this. I get like 60 - 80 memes a week from bosses. Depends on which spawns I make it to and some RNG. Quint/Muraka/Vell/Garmoth do not drop auras. I hope theyll implement the same thing for exchanging field boss auras at some point.
@@MastaBroshiX Yup, after a dozen regular giath scrolls and 3 awakened scrolls, I have one aura. I gave up, sold my TRI giath that I was holding onto for the level 5 and am now going the griffon route (of which I have 6 auras already without even really trying, just doing my dark rifts route).
Maybe a tip to help you out. You can trade Dark Blood (sp?) the green item dark rift bosses drop. You can exchange them 1 for 1 for an boss aura. Then use the weekly for the Concentrated Crystals to upgrade your Giath's. I don't think most guides add that tip.

I'd also like to see a "What Stacks With What" that includes what kind of stacking there is; additive or cumulative, for example. Maybe it is as simple as it all stacks but it appears that like crystals on gear don't stack but like bonuses on different items do?

I was hopping you were going to talk about character tag and this, because i character tagged my character with that gear and the reform upgrade do not go over once tagged. Example is i tag my character and copy, and upgrade it a week later to reform 4 but i dont get those stat upgrade on the tagged character
U have to recopy the weapon, it copied b4 u upgraded, its like a save file, u saved it when it was weaker, now u upgraded u have to make a new copy to copy the current stats. Think of it like a copy machine, it doesnt change ur files because u rewrote them a week later lol
Can you answer me this though. Can u copy a dande and kzarka for a class and use it on a different class, only reason I ask is because class weapons are different, does it translate it to the class weapons that ur on?
@@contaim7227 but the machine does chance it if you enhance so its should be possible to transfer those stat. If we talk enhancing if it goes pen its pen for both tagged character and if it goes back tri its tri for both tag. Just a big sad that with the upgradable armor and weapon you dont get those stats after reform.

You don't need Black Magic Crystals, if you heat Sealed Black Magic Crystals, they will become Magical Shards too, so you can grind to get those, I get them in Cadry Ruins

But I feel like I am missing something between beginner and Boss (for both a main and an alt). I followed your beginners guide; got the green armor, got and upgraded the Naru armor, and then traded it in for Narchillon. Now what? I cannot upgrade the Narchillion and it doesn't say it is TET. Do I need to get something else to TET to then go to Boss tier via the topic of this video? I assume that would be the same for alts since you can only get one set of Narchillion. ?
Narchillan Gear is placed midway between DUO and TRI Blackstar (think one better than boss gear), which puts it at about par with TRI boss. You cannot upgrade it. This video is covering a questline that was introduced to help people upgrade boss gear to the highest level. If you had exchanged your PEN Naru gear for PRI Tuvala, you would have been able to upgrade and follow this progression. Naru -> Upgrade with beginner stones to PEN -> Tuvala -> upgrade with Time stones to PEN (good luck) -> exchange to boss or via Jetina -> follow this guide and source the several billions of silver in stuff to get a PEN boss item! (A PEN Blackstar is still slightly better.....)

Do we know how much the actual silver totals are for just the old moon pieces for one upgrade? It says it gets progressively more costly in Old Moon mats per exchange. It looks at first glance like it's going to end up being a real close balance to just buy pens off the CM and save the insane amount of headache here. Is this like the BDO answer to putting your Pens on a payment plan? 0.o

black desert seems fun with its combat and open world and many other features. But man, the whole gearing system is convoluted as hell and made to be boring. Basically playing a farm and market or slot machine simulator to gear up. Rather than getting gear and upgrades from fun activities like challenging boss fights or pvp. (like most mmo's) seeing all these end game gearing guides and systems leave me with even more questions and honestly make me second guess actually getting more into the game.
A little off topic but if I have several exchange coupons can I exchange more than one tuvala pen in a season? I think I have 3 sitting in my bank and this was the first season I went through the effort to pen everything
Well now that I am Back need to Go through all this but thankfully I Had saved many of those needed items though I wonder if it really is worth to give out so many items looks darn expensive to me rn
uh, so i did the math. its 1.5b for the Sky or Earth Crystal for the first upgrade ALONE. with all the materials bought, if you can buy them, the first PEN you get will cost 5.9b. which yes, isnt bad. however, the next upgrade you do will cost substantially more because of the Old Moon vendor now needing 70 instead of 30. 50*70=3.5b, so your second item will now be 9.4b. still, not bad, but once you hit that threshold of your third upgrade needing 120 will cost you 6b alone. not including the 5.9b base cost. Pen Weapons on average sell for 6-7b, why would you spend 9.4b and subsequently 11.9b on the third and final upgrade when you could get both those items for less on the market? did i math wrong? am i missing something? that was for the weapons alone, imagine the fifth armor piece cost..
Correct, time gated to 3 weeks per piece. Only 3-5 pieces are worth doing, depending on market prices at the time. The draw to this system is guaranteed upgrades (no RNG) as well as the idea that you can grind all the materials you need yourself, and don't have to buy anything from another player.

As a lifeskiller, you should also mention (though maybe inefficient?) Trading imperial alchemy delivery seals for magic shards in Olvia.

In EU you bleed silver doing that. I tried it at first but grinding is so much better its unthinkable for me to do it again..

Pro tip: unless you count yourself very lucky, just go for Griffon helm , as Giath is a pain to get auras for.

first weapon, first 2 armor is usually cheaper. The second weapon and third armor is usually break even. Last of each is a waste.

usually forfeiting and re-accepting the quest gives you the item you need back for summoning bosses.

i dont get this option for weekly for jetina although i get the dailys for burning moonlight stone thing, how do i unlock it ? im level 59//

Did my first round with this cost efficient for the first weapon/armor its fine but dunno if I will do anymore with this method
Could i just jump straight to the final upgrade or do i need to get reform 1,2,3,4 etc

uh, so i did the math. its 1.5b for the Sky or Earth Crystal for the first upgrade ALONE. with all the materials bought, if you can buy them, the first PEN you get will cost 5.9b. which yes, isnt bad. however, the next upgrade you do will cost substantially more because of the Old Moon vendor now needing 70 instead of 30. 50*70=3.5b, so your second item will now be 9.4b. still, not bad, but once you hit that threshold of your third upgrade needing 120 will cost you 6b alone. not including the 5.9b base cost. Pen Weapons on average sell for 6-7b, why would you spend 9.4b and subsequently 11.9b on the third and final upgrade when you could get both those items for less on the market?

Kinda, just play on season server, it's very easy to enhance gear there, and at the end of season you can trade that gear for IV boss gear
Bosses drop a token that can be also xchanged for 3 magical shards

Correct, time gated to 3 weeks per piece. Only 3-5 pieces are worth doing, depending on market prices at the time.
The draw to this system is guaranteed upgrades (no RNG) as well as the idea that you can grind all the materials you need yourself, and don't have to buy anything from another player.

I fully agree, they should have given the choice to have a pen weapon or a set of pen manos accessories.
