I recently moved to Derbyshire and was going through a set of breakpads every month, anyways i bought some ceramic pads and they last FOREVER 🤣 sure they're not quite as good as all the other materials but i can still stop easily and I'm saving a fortune.
Cracking advice. Pure novice and all the information is greatly appreciated. I've bought a bottom line haibike fullseven 4.0 and loving it. Ab all mountain would be on my wishlist
solid advice, and not something most people know about... i routinely do 90rpm (mainly trails, and fields etc) on my canyon neuron@ON 8...i've done 285 miles (since beginning of march) and my chain hasn't stretched at all...keep my bike clean and check the chain with a chain measuring tool...
Only leave the battery in storage at 40-60% charged, charge it up fully prior to going out so it's only ever at the 100% for a short time... and a top tip for checking the headset I learned on my Velotech Gold is apply the back brake and get the bike up on the back wheel, turn the bars vertically in line with the frame and gently rock the bars front to back....
Don't use dieletic grease... You put that on your electrical contacts and your going to have intermittent or no power issues.. The grease is non conductive of electricity. I found this out recently and had a mare removing it from my pins and battery terminals...
Hi Chris, I'm new to ebike just want to know if I don't use my ebike about 2-3 months but I regularly clean my chain other parts if required. There will be any problem with electronic components like motor and battery if I'm not using them for longtime
Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection.
You don't wanna put dielectric grease on electric contacts. It doesn't conduct electricity. You could put a strip of it around the fitting to keep water out.
Polish everything with wd40 and you get a nice protective layer where dirt cant grip, don't spray near thin rubber seals as wd40 will eat THIN rubber ,we use to spray it on planting pots early 80s so the slugs couldn't climb up.
@@Neil.C57510 If you want the cleanest shiny windows like a new car use NEWSPAPER,must be the ink just warm water and screw the newspaper so you have a nice big flat pad,try that and you'll be amazed.
No dude, Dielectric grease can create problems with dust, debris. It's grease and sticky and all the dust and leaf/dirt/sand particles can stick in there causing problems. Just wipe terminal connectors every once in a while.
I busted a seat by sitting to much on it on the bumps. And it was a expensive after market seat. Strange but true. And still dialing in the rear light setup. About a 50 lumen rechargeable is leading the list presently. And 2 or 3 of them. Cuz they falk off and go uncharted all the time. So at least one is working. The big 200+ lumen lights just eat up the battery to fast. And so are really only useful in really inclement weather or heavy traffic. Chow baby
Why not do up a e bike and make it interesting. Make it faster go on the road and take over some traffic go uphill have a custom e bike race do something interesting your the e bike show

Another great advice video, thanks
Sadly 2 weeks to late
All good in the end with a new replacement speed controller and back on the trails again

Even though it was for a laugh I still cringed so hard when he sprayed oil directly onto the rotor!! 😩🤭

Not at all. Keep battery at around 70-80% charged for storage, and keep it away from excess heat
@@JensEskildsen Thanks Jens
nice
I'm always careful with the lube, I only use KY.

Riding my off road tyres on the road seems to keep the knobs sharper , nothing epic just to odd ride to the park etc

Iv transported my e bike in 2 hours of heavy rain and been worried ever since.

Should you use a suspension lubrication on folks?
Use a specific stantion silicone grease after washing
What about pushing your non e bike mates uphill?
Washing it upside down, bashing the motor on logs.
I'm intrigued. What bike is that he's standing next to? Totally stealth.
Canyon spectral-on or torque-on

Turning your Bike upside down gets you air bubbels in your brakelines🥺
There shouldn't be any air in it at all so turning the bike upside down won't make a difference
