For anyone who doesn't have a lot of experience with RTT's, I have had 4 different ones. Started with a soft shell by Treeline Outdoors, terrific quality and price and great for those who only plan to use it a few times a year. I've had a Roofnest, which is a more budget friendly hard shell with some great qualities. And I currently have the iKamper Skycamp Mini on my fiance's vehicle and a GFC on my rig. Those are both rather expensive, but amazing build quality, terrific profiles, and very unique designs. It really depends what your vehicle and usage is, but all RTT brands have come a long way, hard to go wrong with any brand nowadays.

All these roof top tents are a rip off.
How much does it cost for a couple pieces of moulded plastic and a couple yards of canvas.. I'll buy one when you can sell it to me for under $600

I am sure they can implement the solar panel too but you will have to pay a lot for all that feature..

Can you cut a duct hole in the car's roof and the floor of the tent and share climate control?

*$3,000.00 for a freaken tent ! So just because it's on a car roof and not the ground it's worth $3,000.00 USD ? I, AND ALLOT OF OTHER PEOPLE DON'T THINK SO ! Also, I don't want to buy stuff manufactured in China at any price ! If you have no interest in producing a product the average person can afford, and made domestically, then it's just another elitist product for the rich. I'm confident someone will soon come along and address the HUGE market segment which would gladly pay around a $1,000.00 USD.*
