    been running Toyo MT on my two-door Jeep wranglers.. I live in the mountainous area of Northwest California. mud, snow, rocks, ice, pothole and washboard gravel roads, dilapidated paved county roads, BLM land with no roads, sand dunes,.. I've been running these tires for years and they're awesome.

    Been running BFGs since the late 90s. I dabbled with a set of ProComps that needed way too much weight to balance. I also put on a set of Goodyear MTRs and had a sidewall blowout after a few hundred miles. My BFGs have come back from Colorado shale and Arkansas tree stumps with big cuts and gouges all over the tread and sidewalls, but kept on performing. BFG is the choice on all our family vehicles.

    I was not a big fan of the Toyo M/T. Ran them for about 4-5 years and in about year 2 I was starting to spin them in wet grass, also didn't seem to do very well climbing in the snow. I have since switched to the BFGoodrich KM3 and I absolutely love them. I have had them for 2 years now and they are still holding strong. They have gotten me in and out of some fun situations and perform great in the snow.

    I’m on my second set of KM3s now. Truck (Power Wagon) came with Goodyear DuraTracs, swapped them for KM3s when they got down to 7/32s and then swapped the KM3s for Baja Bosses when they hit around 6/32s. Now I’m on the second set of KM3s. First set of KM3s were about $1700 with paying install, this second set I installed myself and the tires ALONE were $1850 even with my employee (I work at the dealer) discount. Despite the price of the KM3s and there being other great options for less $$$ out there I’ve yet to find better tires than the KM3s.

    I just had 33’s of the Patagonia MT’s and they were very good.
    Honestly though they were noisy (I like it) they also carry gravel too much it sounds like studded tires until you go fast enough and then they pelt the wheel wells.
    Not a deal breaker but ya should know, also here in Alaska you’re paying more like 1400 for 4!

    I have the Milestar Patagonia in my standard tire size of 275/65 20 on my 2009 F350 and they are the best tire I've had so far. Great off-road, quiet on road, good in snow and rain, plus I pull our 30' camper a lot and there has been no excessive wear from the extra weight.

      How are your tires now that it's a year later?

    • @bigd4136
      @bigd4136 2 года назад +3

      @@JWard2 I’ve actually had them a total of 2 years and 4 months now. They’re down to around 1/4” of tread left. Not sure how many miles I have on them though. This spring we upgraded campers to a 35’ fifth wheel and we took it on a 1600 mile round trip this summer and we just got back from a 3300 mile round trip. They’re still doing great even with low tread. They are kinda loud now but not obnoxious in my opinion. I can still hold a normal conversation in the cab without raising my voice and can hear the kids in the backseat. We went through a mountain blizzard with the camper and drove over 8 hours in snow/ice covered roads through Kansas and Missouri without the camper on the way home. That was all with 1/4” tread and I never once lost traction. I had a car spin out in front of me and they stopped just fine. I still believe they’re the best tires I’ve had. No rock experience but plenty of muddy fields and they’re great then too. Before winter is over I’ll be buying another set. Also, I live in Minnesota so they experience the best and worst of all weather conditions.

I have buddies running KM2 KM3 BFG’s and I’ve seen the difference.. The biggest thing for me is the smooth ride on the highway and most important. LOOK at the side wall. Put that tire next to any of the ones they are discussing and compare the thickness. NO comparison. I’m running `37x1350R18 w/ NO Bead locks. Run 8-12 lbs and have never had one pop.. Check the sidewall before you buy.. You will see what I’m talking about.

    I have been running offroad tires on my daily drivers and work trucks for 27 years. The Hankook MT 2's are easily my favorite overall. I don't understand why they are not featured as much on these types of reviews. Currently, I have a set on a Ram 1500 with over 50,000 miles on them. A significant portion of those miles have been done towing and on gravel. They have held up tremendously well. They are also the quietest worn down MT's I have ever experienced. I have had hybrid tires that were significantly louder when they wore down. Balance has been a non issue. I rotated every 8,000 and never had to rebalance them. I highly recommend them. Those XComp MT's are trash. I don't know how anything good can be said about them. Makes me not trust these "reviews".
