I'm born in 2000, but I grew up with cartoons from the 80s. Now I'm 16 and 21 Jump Street is my favorite tv show. Too bad I didn't live back then, 80s was such a great decade!
I was born in 1979 and lived through the 80s to enjoy this wonderful era as a child with Air Wolf, Knight Rider, Perfect strangers, Street Hawk, and ALF being my favourite TV shows.
I was born in 2000. Never seen any 80s shows until i was 12 when i watched MacGyver for the first time. To this day MacGyver is one of my Favourite 80s shows of all time.
Don’t get me wrong I like the internet but there are times I really miss the 80s and the shows because there was no internet. It made everything in the 80s feel more interesting.
Macgyver gave me goose bumps. I would be asked to sleep by nine. I'd wait till my parents were watching macgyver and then sneak back in to the hall by 11 to watch the show from behind the couch! There was no way I was missing an episode of macgyver!
OMG! This makes me happy and sad at the same time. I loved my childhood. Soooooo many of these shows I watched and knew of. And there's others that weren't even on this video. Automan, V, Werewolf, Punky Brewster, just to name a few. Man. Such wonder, emotion, originality, heart, adventure. Man, I miss it. Before I really knew how cruel and ugly the real world was and is. My favorite time for TV, movies, music, comic books, toys, video games. Thank you for this. 90s wasn't too shabby either.
And Doogie Howser, M.D.; Hunter; Unsolved Mysteries; American Gladiators; Police Squad; Webster; Mission: Impossible; Three's a Crowd; Heathcliff; Jonny Quest, and so on.
Magnum P.I., Hardcastle and McCormick, Buck Rogers and One Day At Time, The Littles, Dungeons and Dragons, Small Wonder, Punky Brewster to name a few. 😎🍻
Remington steel, robotech, saber rider and the star sheriff's, force 5, centurions, Beverly hills 90210, Mac and muttley, doogie bowser MD, Dr. Fad show, swat kats, manimal, automan, lifestyle of the rich and famous and many more.
80's was the golden era of TV, movies, and music. You missed The Muppet Show, Family Ties, Night Court, V, Alien Nation, Hunter, and Michael Mann's Crime Story.

Mark Snow did alot of tv shows infamous themes such as Starsky and Hutch, Pee Wees Playhouse, Hart to Hart, TJ Hooker, La Femme Nikita, The Ghost Whisperer, The Lone Gunman, Millennium, Smallville, Blue Bloods and many more including The X Files.
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 Mike Post like Mark Snow is a music composer called on to give our favourite shows that iconic theme and his shows include The Rockford Files, The A Team, Blossom, Doogie Howser MD, The Greatest American Hero, Hunter, Magnum PI, LA Law, NYPD Blue, Quantum Leap, Hill Street Blues, Law and Order and many more.
Golly, you sure you have enough cartoons? Many great choices here, I admit. I won't bug you about Stingray or Mike Hammer -- but come on, The Equalizer was great.
I watched almost every one of these growing up. Oddly enough, I don’t even watch TV now. I think reality tv killed all enjoyment I used to get from watching tv. Even with 100x the channels, tv will never be as creative and unique as it was in the 80s.
I’m 40 years old French guy so I didn’t have exactly same famous TV show, but I liked (and still like) most of your selection. If I would have to do a top 100, I think I kept from your top for example : MASK, Knight Rider, Alf, MacGyver, etc… And I would put in this top : Manimal, Dragon Ball, Sherlock Holmes (Miyazaki’s version), Chodenshi Bioman, Masters of the Universe, Captain Tsubasa (« Olive and Tom » in French version), Saint Seiya, Ulysse 31, Inspector Gadget, Cat’s Eyes, Moi Renart, Les Mondes engloutis, Lamu, Sidekicks, etc…
Does anyone remember a series from the 80's called "Animal"? It had a cobra snake and in one episode it slithers into an arcade and a hockey game bubble if placed over it.
The Silver Spoons, Just the Ten of Us, Doogie Howser M.D., Fresh Prince of Bellaire, M.A.S.H., You Can't Do That on Television, The Simpsons, COPS.... I'd say you missed a few gems ;)
@@MrBJG79 Actually the Simpsons started in Dec. '89, not counting their short appearances during the Tracey Ullman show that go back to '87. (Quantum Leap was included here, and that didn't start till '89.) On the other hand, I wouldn't exactly call all of the shows in the original comment "gems" (Just the Ten of Us? You Can't Do That on Television? Those TV show names aren't even familiar, at least to me)....
Not-so-smart aleck Thats what I meant about The Simpsons, I think of it as more of a 90s Show because it only had one episode as an official show in 1989. But I guess they’re going by original date (and also including the Tracey Ullman shorts maybe). 🤷🏾♂️
Highlander was 90's (92-98). BraveStarr was apparently a cartoon (87-89). I think they should've taken all the cartoons/kid shows and put them into a separate vid. (This vid is just bizarre, alternating "real" primetime shows with the cartoons/kids stuff.)
PLEASE, if anyone can remember an 80s British Comedy Show (there was hardly any talking, possibly none). The main character had mustache and the front of his dark hair was dyed pink. In one episode he wiped his face with a towel that had red dots, and the dots remained on his face afterwards. That's what I remember.
Excellent work on this! But where is L.A. Law, Silver Spoons, 227, Head of the Class, Hogan Family and Webster? As for Cartoons: Superfriends, Shirt Tales and Richie Rich.
Shows missed off TJ Hooker, Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs King, Hart to Hart, The Fall Guy, Hunter, Knots Landing, Robin of Sherwood, Dangermouse, LA Law, Dempsey and Makepeace. Three of these are British and were sold to America but at least back then all of these shows were original unlike the endless reboots because Hollywood is to lazy to create new shows.
I watched: Full House; DuckTales; TMNT; Chip'n Dale; Alf; Today's Special; Married with Children; Inspector Gadget; Alvin and the Chipmunks; The Care Bears; The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh; Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, Reading Rainbow; Fred Penner's Place; My Pet Monster, Beetlejuice, Sharon, Louis and Bram; Under The Umbrella Tree. I watched dozens of shows from the 90's but can only recall a few that I've watched from the 00's and the ONLY show from this decade I really tried to get into was Zoo - I gave up on that during second two.
At least these people made my day: it did include both JatH in the '80s list and XWP in the '90s one... (was "kinda raised" by the ladies from both series)

1984 was a classic year, If I could live any year over; it would be 1984.
+John Smith Family Ties WAS there (2:15)... How could they miss Night Court?? It was one of the funniest shows of the 80s. (& L.A. Law?)
Taxi, WKRP, Night Court -- yeah, you stop to think about it, those are glaring omissions.
Watched 90% of those. Married with Children is classic

Where is Spenser for Hire, Buck Rogers in The 25th Century and The Love Boat.
