japanese people don't mind female lead, most of them like it anyway. but at least from several japanese videos, his ghost sequel is worrisome for two indicators: 1. uglified female lead (you think she's ok, but in japan, she's on par with ac shadow's or star wars' female leads) 2. overtly political va (they're waiting other people who made the game, including dev, ceo, marketing etc, to comment on this) from ubisoft case they learned to be cautious about games made by foreigners. in one of the comments, there's list of indicators to spot woke games (or anime/manga, movies, etc). the above 2 points are included in the indicators :p
I am fine with female leads in high fantasy or settings that aren't supposed to be grounded, immersive and realistic. Things like Nier, Bayonetta, etc. but when the setting is supposed to be believable and realistic it doesn't work. Women are not equal to men in martial pursuits. Not even close.

Before the old devs would save ubisoft but now with modern developers whobhave awful work ethic ubisoft cant be saved. All of the complaints I have seen thus far have been about the actress who they picked to play her… but this may be due to me mainly just watching RUclips and avoiding toxic places like Twitter and Reddit.
