what a fun home! it has such a 1970s sf&f vibe to me, especially with the harvest orange still there in the kitchen, the irising windows, and the millenium falcon window. and there are cat beds, triple score! a triumph, mr birchall!
4years later and im sad to see it needs work to bring it back to its former glory. Makes me sad to see, would love to be a custodian of something so unique and inspiring. Sharon and graham did something amazing here.
This place is near me. I would definitely live in this house. It's very different and amazing. I wish I could start a gofundme and buy it, keep this house as a custodian :) Make it a museum! Make one of the domes a planetarium!
@@jcautec I know the owner is an Architect. To build this house 35 years ago the drawings/blueprints would've been drafted by hand. There was no Autocad or Revit in those days. Autocad came out in 1986. I'm an Interior Architect /Designer and I know how cumbersome this would've been. It would've also been a piece of art. Hand drafting is beautiful.
@@nnyv0040 Oh i was confused! Yes you are absolutely right imagine doing all that by hand! I actually prefer doing elevation and floorplan drawings by hand, it takes so much more skill. You feel a connection with your drawing and creation which is lost in computer drawing.

I really like this. I think many domes joined together work very well. Better than 1 enormous dome aesthetically and practically.
Fascinating. Bit tricky in a conservation area! Expensive I bet. All made off site. Love the camera shutters
