Exactly! It's an XYZ monster, not an Xʏᴢ monster, as is clearly distinguished in the title by the size of the capital letters and its pronunciation (since as everyone knows, it's always possible to figure out how something's pronounced by reading it) . Clearly, no one could ever mistake the two things.

Personally, i would have preferred the new individual materials to be treated as the old ones instead. OG XYZ Dragon Cannon can be really useful for your turn since the removal effect isn't OPT, and disassembling the new Hyper Dragon Cannon to make the old one would be nice
yeah, i'm kinda surprised that those cards aren't threated like the OGs on field or GY for example.
If they were they'd need to not be treated as the originals in banished because that would mean they have like 8+ extra bodies worth of link or xyz materials to cycle through since the fusion isn't OPT.

This is every card games chat man. I watch magic and hearthstone and ths amount of people that suggest cards that arnt in the same class or color is insane people just dont think too deeply during card discussion when something is first shown off
@@zetokaiba5867Either that or parroting everything Josh says or does similiarly to the effect Wolfey has on pokemon. You see these types alot in VGC low ladder. It takes them a while to gain marginal self-awareness and the actual critical thinking skills beyond "because I watch world champion's stream", but they'll eventually grow out of it.
Today I learned about another non-HOPT union monster that loops and is already involved in FTKs.
Yep, already labbed out an ftk using ojamassimilation to try to get 3 of the y looping each other for cannon soldier, not consistent but I gotta use the Ojamas somehow.

@@JuanGonzalezZzZzZz... it’s a bricky FTK deck that requires you to play multiple of Y, which you really don’t want to be doing. It’s less consistent and more fragile than something like Volcanic FTK, and Volcanic FTK is awful
@ojamaftk9585 Also the new Spell while meant for Obelisk can be used for evil RUclips Combo since it just so happens that Arcana Force: The World happens to be a monster with 3100 Atk, and thus can be grabbed and Tribute Summoned via that effect. And Y loops can pretty easily facilitate the materials for the possible turn skip...so while not practical it can be degenerate.

For me, the best 3k+ atk monster to use with the new spell card is Immortal Phoenix Gearfried, as it has a good interaction effect (and takes perfect advantage of union monsters, as they are considered equip spells) and would also not be a complete brick, if it is in your hand (remembering that the second effect of the spell needs to search for the card from the deck, that is, if the card you would search for is already in your hand and you only use 1 copy, then the effect cannot be activated)
@@gamerbg294 yep totally saw that option too, but i might play 1 barbaros, 1 gierfreid and nib as target (you are not forced to normal summon the monster)
@@niull8902 Firstly, you are forced to summon the searched monster (I say this because I have a floowandereeze deck and the floowandereeze monsters specify that "you can" summon a winged beast monster immediately by its effect, so if the effect didn't specify "you can", then, it would be mandatory to summon a monster). Second, the problem with Barbaros is that if it comes in your starting hand it is a complete brick (I looked at all the monsters with 3k+ atk and of all of them I only saw one other monster that was not a complete brick, however, it was not as good as Immortal Phoenix Gearfried)

a shame these cards don't have the "this cards name becomes the original" as an effect to enable the bigger A-to-Z and VW fusions that are too unwieldy to play due to the original's clunkiness
Give it a few sets, we’ll get retrains of all those.
Y and Z don't have hard 1/turn on their first effects which means they there can possibly be some shenanigans by resummoning them multiple times in a turn.
Even with the Light monster lock from the extra deck, AFD would still be a great for this since the deck was already adjusted to searching Therion Regulus with Colosseum.
It's still feels missed out that there is no XYZ monster based on xyz dragon cannon

fusion searches frontline base which is also a free union monster special summon
The last card can summon Kozmo Dark Destroyer and that's a soft-towers that pop something in the process, also Mayosenju Daibak which is 2 bounces on normal.

Daibek bounce 2 actually seems pretty solid. Not sure if it’s worth running a brick in deck though. You get the ABC banish and a bounce 2 but you really don’t want to draw any of the tribute monsters in a deck that already has consistency issues

If someone hasn't pointed it out, some of the cards don't have hard once per turn on the summons I believe.
Phoenix Gearfried is probably the best search target because it can banish equip spells from field to summon itself normally, so unless I'm mistaken that means you can banish an equipped union monster

Josh, we still tecknically get duelist packs. They were just renamed as Legendary Duelists. These cards will be released in the same set as the new tachyon and trickstar support.
Cool thing about the spell is that Y, Z, and B all have 1500 ATK, so that may make the spell a three of maybe just for the anility to grab B alone.

Yes. Summoning God is the theme of this. As that was the point of the cards in the anime/manga was making a powerful disruptive boss that did not require Poly and also be sacrificed for God. It’s why the new XYZ can detach itself so it can be used as 3 Tributes. Cause the OG could not.

Interestingly union controller is a level 6, and x only locks you into light extra deck monsters not light fusions so you can make afd with a level 1 tuner and probably do some crazy things

You equip them from the GY, they special summon themselves, you make a link monster, you then contact fuse them in the GY.
I really think you missed the mark with the new dragon fusion. That guy means that you go for it, use it for whatever and send it to gy, then use its eff to bring the pieces and then summon a second copy. It's drident with 4 bodies of material.
Summoning a 2nd copy is tough on its own, not like you can recycle the pieces you used with the fusion because said fusion is a 9

Basically what you’re trying to do is go x equip y special y make econ search carrier carrier for either b or z special it out and carrier equip driver for the other one z equip y link of the b and econ for play gadget summon the y equip b summon b and keep link climbing neither y nor z nor any of the pieces are once per turn so you can kinda keep playing forever. You will usually banish all 3 from gy to summon the new guy and just link it off so that you can banish it to revive all 3. Assuming translation is correct it can’t reveal itself which would be optimal but still just reviving every abc piece is cracked. Just the one card ends on multiple abcs and all the link plays you can imagine, you can even do things like clear the plat gadget to summon another Econ because the summon of it and ss from hand are both not opt so you can free summon all the pieces you get off b which can be other ys or zs etc. you could also maybe make Beatrice with 2 of ‘‘em since it’s also a light. The light lock is kinda annoying but even off 1 card you’re still ending on the literal stones and if you want to you can always slot in an azurune for a free s/t pop and solemn because the tophat link 2 is also light. Yeah basically the 1 card is an ftk that has a ridiculous amount of extenders.
There is also a world where instead of searching Union carrier you can search the new spell dumb b search y summon y and equip b and play from there. Idk if that’s exactly better but you can still 1 card and if there is a 3k guy that’s worth slotting in it’s definitely a shout

other less funny but good cards to summon are beast king barbaross, dramaturge of despia, generaider cards, immortal phoenix gearfried, kozmo dark destroyer, jet dragon, darklord morningstar, odd eyes advance dragon, ogdoabyss ogdoadic overlord, r-ace turbulence, flamberge, darkest diabolos and many many more
Only issue is these not being treated as the OGs on field or GY. Would have been awesome.

Beast king barbaros is a nuke but sucks if you draw.
Immortal phoenix gearfried is an interesting pick, because your union monsters are equip spells, meaning they fuel gearfried's monster negate AND they can be used to summon gearfried(from hand or gy), and also it sucks up a monster on attack, so its not a bad card.

In a practical sense yes its just to spam links and xyz, but because Z and Y can equip themselves theres like 6 different ways discovered for them to be a functional FTK and the most practical of the bunch plays only one extra brick out of engine for the combo.

Yep, we got another Telefon situation. Get a Y in GY and summon another to field and you got essentially infinite material.
@astralguardian5930 You actually need 3 in rotation since if have to Special the one from backrow, equip a Y and then you can Tribute the extra y on field, so it's not as easy to set up
As for why E-Con and XYZ-Dragon Cannon are on the same card, Kaiba uses both over the course of Battle City, specifically in the duel against Yugi in the semi-finals where Kaiba sacrifices XYZ-Dragon Cannon to summon Obelisk to go against Slifer/Osiris. Enemy Controller is relevant as earlier in the duel, Kaiba uses soul exchange which has the side effect of sending one of Kaiba's monsters to Yugi's side, so in order to get his X-Head Cannon back, Kaiba uses enemy controller.
Y is a solid extender because neither of the Abc’s effects are opt, so you can use Y as just a monster reborn the same way the deck uses Regulus. You can pretty easily go
Normal X, Effect equip B
B effect Special Itself
Link 2 for Plat Gadget
B search Y
Plat Gadget special Y
Y effect equip B
B Special Itself
And then keep extending from there

I read every normal summonable 3000+ main deck monster for the last spell card, dropping Beast King Barbaros on opponent's turn may be the guu here.

I found the line... also controller doesnt require monsters, just on the field... so u can get past Unautherized reactivations drawback and still contact fuse.
Cross equip head and contact to controler searching hanger, searching Zillion and specillion equiping 2nd Y from deck and zillion effect to equip the banished Cross. Playesting edopro i thought i could still link the fusion away and still special summon the first Y-head back since the union hanger prevents me from special summoning the equipped monster but i guess its a hard lock not a soft lock... or coding is wrong who knows. Still Found the 1 card climb to both XYZ and controller on field so im happy lol Was trying to link away for Top hat and resumon the fusion so i get a negate as well but not working out.
Edit: I need slapped... the xyz fusion cannon summon it's on materials it's a lvl 9 not lvl 8 so cant reveal itself.
they a silly 1 card FTK that uses The World but idk if you can really play that outside of memes all the other cards are like decent in the deck so it really just The world as a garnet but I think gimmick puppet FTK is just better
This new support is so unnecessary. It enables 200 different ftks with insane consistency, without actually supporting the deck properly.
I was expecting more of D E F defensive support since they'll be the next letters in the alphabet but this is fine. I think this support could help.
