I'm so glad this game exists, because I really enjoyed the first one. Waiting until October for it is going to be rough...
I enjoyed the first one as well. I love most of the Level 5 games.
There's a lot of stuff to catch up on. I got tired of waiting myself, then of course $50-$60. Wish the labo got support but things trickle in for psvr2, so I accept that. If all else fails, there's always steam (they have a ton of different hybrid or portable consoles stronger than switch) or retro collections.
Same the original was so underrated
honestly I don't feel like it's looking great... the first game was literally massive with such a map but on a tiny island what do you want to do seriously? I'm kinda scared this going to be bad

I hope this world is as expansive as the original. Fantasy Life had such a diverse world from plains, snowpeak mountain, Puerto archipelago, deserts, the plushin village in the clouds. The island here looks so small in comparison. It's like the size of the dlc island in the original Fantasy Life
Yeah I really hope they dont flop like AC New Horizon. To me ACNH has to be the worst of the AC games ive played. An empty small island with barely anything to do, especially at the start. I really hope its not

Please don't f this up, Level 5. The first one is my favorite 3DS game ever and I really hope the sequel is just as magical ❤ It does look a bit too inspired by the newest Animal Crossing with the whole island rebuilding but I guess we'll see ...

I’m a little bit worried that this is now mainly an animal crossing decoration style game, where you design the island. Me personally, I don’t care about decorating. I want a cool world to explore, like in the first fantasy life.
It looks like it has everything the first game had and more. They are accentuating the customization that way people know its not just the first game copy and pasted
I agree. I didn’t enjoy New Horizons. I actually never played Fantasy Life on 3DS but always wanted to. Still looking forward for this release.
@@christinem8799 if possible I’d still highly recommend playing the OG! Whether it’s finding a game card or using citra, it’s worth it.
@@philipsparks6089 doesn’t look like EVERYTHING the first game had to me. First game had hand crafted towns, kingdoms, etc. This one looks like it’s just the island which you build yourself. That’s cool for people who enjoy that but I always liked exploring the world and seeing the new towns.

It looked to me like there would be settlements of some description in the past, which had become ruins in the present. I could be wrong, however, but that's still one idea for having some sort of NPC town going on.
But the island is probably a mess in the present because you looted it in the past.
Time travel always gives me a headache. 😵💫

I'm glad to see this game is keeping the rpg combat and story from the first one, and not just being animal crossing. FFV's job system crossed with LoZ's combat is something I haven't found anywhere else, and I love the orginal for it, and greatly hope to see it expanded upon here. Here's to another few hundred hours 100% this crazy intricate game.
I cannot wait for this! I loved the original Fantasy Life, and this looks like such a fun evolution.
I really hope there will be new jobs and classes later on. Also pets like the first game
They only released artist and farmer iirc, they didn't announce any other new lives as far as I know
I doubt it but could possibly be the future DLC.
@@Kodamare the artist sounds pretty useless unless one of your goals was to complete an art museum but the farmer, kinda saw that as a new life long before there were even whispers of this new game, also they could have used a new combat life that I thought up: Rogue/thief one that specialized in daggers and valued speed over strength.
@@seanteggert5505 think the artist is supposed to work in tandem with Tailors, etc to make decorations for your house. The Farmer is a practical choice for cooking so youre not dependent on buying and collecting but can grow some stuff yourself.
I was surprised they didn't include a thief or rogue class with the dagger combos in the DS dlc, more so now they didnt add another combat class, maybe in a future dlc for this game they might. There were unreleased classes data mined from the original DS game they didnt use, I forget what exactly but think there was a jester class and something else....
Well hopefully ppl actually buy this game this time. Honestly we are lucky we are even getting a level 5 resurgence in the west seeing how bad their games sold previously.
Fantasy life i is still my most anticipated game of this year after 10 long years Fantasy life is getting the switch sequel it deserves October can’t get here fast enough because I’m just gonna keep rewatching this trailer over and over again until 8 months pass 😭.
I'm pretty sure the 'present day' island you are on is the small customizable island.
The 'past' version is not the island itself, but a entire dimension with a bigger world (basically you can think of it as a world that disappeared in the present, or 'sank' and only a small portion remained in the present).
So terraforming isn't allowed in the past, only in the present.
Ngl i miss this game i was so invested into it same with ever Oasis
I wanted to like Ever Oasis so much. But the combat was ridiculous and I couldn't get past one puzzle despite bringing the right people to solve it
The 3DS one was amazing but this looks so different. I hope it’s still an RPG and not an Animal Crossing like-game.

Same! What I like the most about Fantasy Life 1 was the differents towns and NPC (different culture). Now it seems that there is only 1 town and it's you who will build it. Not my vibe. Hoping that it's not just that.

Was really looking forward to winter 2023, but it was delayed and they kept getting away with revealing the release date 🥲
A bit worried it will focused more on fetch quests, and less exploration. Basically only 1 main hub and travel around regions to get stuffs to bring to town. So no more exploring different towns? 1 town to focus on multiplayer? Well see I guess.

the only Switch game I want to play. October feels so far away...
Game looks great. 4 player co-op, new lives, better QoL features, and more. I just hope that island creation doesn't take over the adventure/exploration aspect. Like traveling to new biomes and cities or finding some ruins to fight bosses and gain rare materials. Since this game is a sequel to the first, I expect them to go above and beyond. I mean I'm excited dont get me wrong but only showing clips of the base island does have me a bit worried

Ngl, I was gagged when L5 announced a 2023 release after the Nintendo Direct trailer, but I understand that excellence cannot be rushed. After 10+ years, I can wait a few months. It would be amazing to get updates or small content reveals before October. Please don't fail! 😃

Can't say im a fan of Town-building. My towns never look as nice and lively as towns that the dev team makes. Hope there is some structure/presets for us architecturally-challenged folks

Also something's off about the graphics not sure what. The 3ds game was charming cause the graphics were so basic
@rubybahamut2 Finally! Someone else who notices these things!! I don't like the New Horizons direction they're going for this either. The graphics don't look as cutesie or bright as the original, it looks super off.
