The master system was great for Disney games. This along with land of illusion , Donald Duck lucky dime caper, deep duck trouble, even Aladdin was its own version and quite good.
I played Lucky Dime Caper, and although visually it was better than any Disney license on NES, in my opinion it lacks that addictive simplicity in a core mechanics like, for example, Darkwing Duck or Rescue Rangers had.
Ironically that's why Sega decided to back port Mega Drive games to the SMS and if you had the Master deck adapter so your could buy cheaper Master system games on the Mega drive. Some still require you have the SMS controler to connect to the Mega drive
@@JeffreyPiatt We called that a "power base converter" in the UK. Master gear played Master system games on the GameGear, but we didn't have a thing to play GameGear games on the Master System if such a thing existed.

Still waiting on that Dukes of Hazzard PlayStation review.
I always enjoyed the music from the Illusion games too.
In approximately late 91 I got 2 play both at the same time as I was gifted a MD with it and my bro was Gifted a GameGear with it. Both awsome games. Still play great today.
I loved the Genesis version as a kid, I had no idea there was a 8 bit version
I vaguely remember this on my gamegear but this video just reminded me how much I hated those auto scrolling levels in platformers, auto scrolling comes in second to underwater levels for me for my hatred of them.
Loved this game, I was so pumped for Lucky Dime Capers release after finishing this countless times... I was gutted that my copy of LDC couldn't be finished due to a lockup bug on the last level though ... strange for Segas quality control to miss something like that back then.
I did play the Genesis game later and thought that was great too, but probably due to nostalgia I've always preferred this 8 bit version :)
I had this on my master system 2 as a kid, I loved it. Then I moved onto the SNES. 👍👍
Good review. I never heard of someone not liking master system music
