@@dennybowser5533 yes I caught one in June just under 4 lb and my wife filmed it but we could not download it to my phone so I did not post it on my channel
What part of the river was this on? Trying to decide if it is worth it to make the drive due to the river rd closure making this much more difficult. Also do you mind sharing more clear descriptions of the flies you had success with? Thank you!
The stretch of River from the big steel bridge which is just upriver from Green cove to the trout hatchery is the best fishing. I always start out with a pink Euro egg and either a golden stonefly or a blowtorch. Sometimes they don't want those and a waltz rubber legs is great too.
@@KennethKempka-xg1jk Yeah that's what I was worried about. That area is over 2 hours from me in Knoxville while if I just go to one of the trailheads in GSMNP its a little over an hour. I am not very good and so I think if I was decent it would be worth it but its always so discouraging when I drive so far to only end up empty-handed. Then again with great risk comes great reward.... not sure what I will decide for when I go out this upcoming Monday but I really appreciate the fast detailed response. Thank you!
Nice video. Do they ever stock any browns ?
