Such meticulous work. Great video showing all that goes into that. Truly a craft!

Jerry!!! You made me REAL nervous when reaching across that tablesaw with the cuff of your shirt just hanging there. That could have ended very badly if the blade grabbed it, glad it didn't. PLEASE be more careful so we can continue getting this great content.

I noticed that too during editing. Thanks for the reminder. Long sleeves don't belong anywhere near spinning equipment. Have a great weekend.

Got to love how useful those older tractors are. They may not power the new farming equipment of today or even of the 80's but they sure are a work saver for doing all those tasks that don't require 3 or mover remotes and a 3 point that will raise a sunken battle ship. I've an old 68 Ford 5000 gas. It works great doing food plots and pulling the 6 x 10 dump trailer around full of logs, firewood, gravel, etc. I thought you were going to catch your shirtsleeve on the blade as you were sharpening. I burn most all my slabs, pine, hemlock, etc in the easy heating months. They work just fine once good and dry. Waste not want not on a cold winter day. Hang in there.

You've got to love the old equipment. My Mahindra won't be around in 80 years like my Farmall but neither will I lol. The slabs are our necessary evils that are required to make lumber. The hardwood makes great boiler wood. Thanks Jim for the comment. Have a great weekend.

You know as well as I do, my slabs just pile up until I complain about them and I get called out about them in the videos 😆 I hate slabs but hopefully in the future I have use for them.
Some necessary work done here buddy, always gotta keep on sharpening the blades and keeping the slab pile down. Great job buddy 👏

These slabs just keep showing up. I've done pretty good this summer staying on top of them. I wonder who calls you out ;) lol. Thanks for the support buddy.

Loved the plaque you made that was cool. I cut my slabs up and burn in my garage. I have a small wood stove in there I burn when I’m piddling in the winter. Once I have enough my neighbor comes and gets what I don’t use he burns wood in his house.

Thank you. Those are a big request and kind of boring to watch but occasionally I'll put one on. I'm glad you liked it. I've given a couple cord to my neighbors as well. It seems like we are always dealing with them. Thanks Mark, have a great one

Good morning Jerry, nice video with the classic tractors. I cut and split the thicker ones. I used to keep all of them, recently I’ve started burning the thin ones in my burn pile. I’ll be sending my blades for sharpening 😂. Have a weekend buddy

Thanks Mike. That's what I've been doing...keeping them all. I'm rethinking that. It consumes so much time dealing with them. A couple of sawmill around here sell them but they sell them so cheap that it's not hardly worth doing that lol. I guess I'll keep cutting them up lol. Thanks Mike and have a great week
PS your last video inspired my title lol.

I give my slabs away and have several people who are always looking for wood.the thicker slabs I resaw them into strapping. Roofers are always looking for 1x3" and 1x4

Lately we've been milling a lot of pine and spruce and no one wants that...pieces are to small for the boiler guys to deal with and nobody wants it in their woodstove so we burn it. Hardwood I cut up for firewood and it mostly goes to neighbors as we have plenty of 'regular' firewood.

That's great to hear. I have been cutting my pine slabs into bonfire wood. I'm not sure if it's even worth dealing with the pine and just burn all the pine at once. I think the hardwood is worth dealing with. Thanks for your comment
